Yep, Giroud was excellent. Now, he needs to make a serious impact when we play the better teams. Liverpool on Wednesday for example.
Good: Giroud's confidence and finishing, we won, and we're through Bad: Santos, our defending, and Santos. Oh, and Santos. Seriously, i can't stress enough how bad he was today. He got owned by championship players.
He should've got a hat trick... he was just unlucky. I'm not expecting him to set the league on fire on his debut season but he is showing potential.
Giroud very good today a real strikers performance. The game was so different when Gibbs came on. He closed down and made it difficult to get crosses in and went forward. a lot of bad performances today though but getting through is all that matters.
He has 13 goals and 9 assists now. He is having a very good season but is unfairly being compared to Van Persie. There are not many strikers who have better numbers than Giroud this year. He is going to score more than 20 in his first season.
I agree completely... that 3rd goal would've never had come had Santos still been on. Gibbs showed he is on a completely different level from Santos... but that means he needs decent competition to keep him on his toes and Santos is not the man to do that. We need to buy one LB before the window closes because God help us if Gibbs gets injured, especially before the Bayern Munic game.
Yeah I was suprised by Giroud today. He showed some real classy touches as well the the two quality goals.
Giroud has 13 goals and 9 assists this season. Thats not including times he's flicked the ball on for others to assist in goals. In reality, he's possibly been involved in 30+ goals this season. But he sometimes looks like a donkey. EDIT: Necromancer beat me to it.
Despite those flattering stats, he goes missing way too often against the big teams. He really needs to step it up in those matches.

This. Wilshere ran the midfield when he came on. Rosicky showed some of his class even though hes hardly played. All in all it was a good run out for a few players who dont get to play much and we still came through it. Proved our squad players shouldnt be replacing the first team players though, particularly Santos.
We badly need a LB. Or promote Meade. Just so long as we don't have to play Santos there. I like him as a winger, but he's beyond atrocious as an LB.
