I don't know. How the same bunch of players can go from beating Man U and Arsenal to being dumped out by Luton is beyond me.
Not defending the ****e performance, but it wasn't the same players. In fact, Garrido and Rusty (<-- only guy to have a decent game) were our only first XI players on the pitch until Pilkington, Hoolahan and Holt came on and at least then we did actually create some chances.
To be honest, Arsenal and United would maybe argue they were at there worst for those games. I was never really convinced our performances were worthy of a 9 game unbeaten run and it papered over many of the cracks which were still there. Now the clean sheets have disappeared Hughtons tactics are proving to be flat and uninspiring.
easy. we get results when we lay the formation that suits the match(man u, arsenal et al).however against teams that are not going to attack us constantly a sitting back formation causes a stand off which is evident by toothless performances.
I think our players don't care about the club as much as we think they do, the Liverpool game being the most obvious if you managed to watch that one. Today we expected a response there was a little bit more effort but a totally lack of urgency the players didn't care where they passed the ball and treated it like a training match game.
