Hello all - this is my very first post. I grew up watching the great Henry and the invincibles and have loved the Gunners ever since. A friend from Ipswich told me about the site and told me there are a lot of good discussions on here. That being said: All true about previous 'missed' signings. Unfortunately we didn't get Hazard, Gotze, Zaha, Remy and co. Love our squad but when will we get rid of past flops to open space for these players? Bendtner and Chamakh on loan, Arshavin and Chu are a waste of space and funding as well. On a lighter note I'm glad Walcott is continuing to perform well AFTER the contract dried.
Arshavin's contract ends in the summer, not sure about Bedntner and Chamakh. I think we might have to keep them for another year, sadly. Also, welcome to the forum.
Welcome aboard fella I think the club are doing what they can to shift out players who aren't in our long term plans and whilst I'd loved to have seen Mata at the club, I don't think we've really 'missed out' on any of the others to be honest - and Gotze hasn't gone anywhere (yet?) Hopefully we'll sign at least one quality player before the window shuts but we might have to wait until the summer to properly address it.
