The wife and I both drive decent German cars presently, but I don't think in years to come we will look back with great memories.

But our first car, an Austin Allegro back in 85, was cherished.

Never has a car of ours been pampered so much. It was in better condition when we traded it in, than when we bought it.

    Manual choke.

It was renown to be a proper **** car. It was. But it was ours.

For fun and thrills my Subaru STi by a mile! For all around aspects, probably the Audi 100. To be fair, the rest were ***t such as the Ital and XR3i so it's an easy pick.

skoda estelle. it was brilliant to drive with engine in the back, and best of all you could leave it unlocked anywhere and no body would touch it. Bought in 1986 for £300. Sold three years later for £350. Cost me circa £200 including 3 MOTs to keep it on the road. And the ultimate bonus - at the time there were only 3 other rear engine cars being made for the UK roads. One was a Masarati I believe!!!!

had a few cars over the years but got a bmw 320 coupe a couple of years ago, went from copleys in halifax to hythe kent on just over 1/4 ofa tank of diesel. when I picked it up, it was parked next to the range rover matty fryatt had just purchsed, so I was chuffed already . thats the best car I have had . Although my escort se500 cabriolet that I still have in my garage comes close, could never part with it and only 23 of the 500 left now so it'll be worth a few quid one day

Best car overall would probably be a lambo I drove @ Elvington.

More reasonably it would be my old bosses Volvo D5, that was an impressive engine.

Oi Scarbs, you know perfectly well I don't like chops.

Despite having four Lambretta's, I don't actually ride any of them nowadays, I treat them as pieces of art(disgraceful I know). A completely original twin saddle 1958 LD150 tops my list, a more beautiful piece of metal you will never see.

As for cars, I'm not telling you what cars I have currently, you all know where the members car park is and I'm not up for getting keyed by the next bloke I fall out with.

My car history goes, Austin Allegro, Hillman Hunter, Vauxhall Astra, Vauxhall Cavalier, BMW 325, Merc 190 Evolution, Merc pillarless coupe, Karmann Ghia Cabriolet, Merc convertible, Merc convertible, BMW 6 series convertible, Range Rover, Porsche Cayman S and then what I've got now....

I've set myself many personal targets over the years, owning an Aston is the only one I haven't yet managed. I've set myself the target of an AMV8 by the end of next year and a DB6 by 2020, we all need something to aim for.

Too right... Without something to aim for life gets dull

Surprised by your DB6 choice OLM. If I was going classic it would have to be a DB5. Pure automotive porn!

I'm being realistic, DB5's are daft money, particularly the cabrio, there were only 123 ever made and most of them were written off, so you're looking at half a million for one now. It is the most beautiful car ever made, but you can get the same style and performance from a series 1 1/2 E Type for 10% of the money.
