I used to go there. There's a photo of me on FB with two other mates, one girl gurning between me and a pal. Twas Boy George on the decks that night and I was looking ****ing fly!

Really liked it there, no imminent threat of violence like at Swindon.

Stands a fair chance I would have been there also, went a few times when Boy george played... and John of the pleased women.. Top night out it was.. an yes no violence considering the amount of SAS in the town. That said pills were proper pills back then, everyone loved each other..

This reminded me of a strange night out that ended with me singing Under the Moon of Love on stage with Showaddywaddy. True story. :1980_boogie_down:

Nah to be fair I've always used both phrases, round these parts we use both for terms for the evening meal. If I cook something proper then it's dinner. If I have say beans on toast or something nondescript then it's tea.. What we don't do is eat dinner at lunch time. <ok>

Having Plaice and Chips tonight. Might have some peas with it, might have some beans.

Procured some ales from Morrisons as they've got a selection at £1.50 a bottle, will cane two or three me thinks.

Breaded? Battered?? I'd do peas. Beans would ruin it with its juices making things soggy <ok>

    They still have juice though..

Only thing that should be applied is ketchup and tartare sauce.. Possibly vinegar.

Beans have similar consistency to ketchup and are less wet than vinegar.
    What you on about?
I'll make sure they stay separate from the fish though, ensuring untainted bread crumb covering,

On the chips will be salt and vinegar and I'll have a bit of bread and butter, which is a must for fish and chips.

You use wrong ketchup or unrefridgerated ketchup. Ketchup should be thick. Even good quality beans you still get runny juice.

I meant with vinegar being applied to the chips also.

This is really making me want that for dinner.. I'm debating eating Chinese and staying in. Or go to the boozer for a few pints and some haggis tatties and neeps.
