Sean O'Driscoll confirmed his interest in Moloney earlier this week and the player is set to link up again with the City boss having worked with him at Forest. Moloney is thought to have agreed a two-and-a-half year deal after passing a medical and holding talks at Ashton Gate. The versatile defender is understood to have moved on a free transfer due to a release clause in his contract at the City Ground. The 24-year-old will become O'Driscoll's first signing since he took over at Ashton Gate earlier this month. Moloney is set to go straight into the squad for Saturday's clash with Ipswich Town.. If true this guy plays Right Back or Central Defence and SoD knows him well...
I fear we've signed Nottingham Forrest version of Joe Edwards. Lets hope he's an improvement on Foster
I'm all for SOD bringing his own players in, but I really don't want to fill our squad up with **** because we can't afford good players. I'd rather go down with a light squad. I can only hope that SOD sees Moloney as a solid defender and someone that will add balance to our defense, otherwise we're just wasting money again.
He's a good defender but if you buy a more expensive player you gotta play them more look at Chelsea sturridge who is a very good striker gets replaced by a broken Torres cause he cost 50 million pounds
Trust him ender and we'll see what happens - hopefully good. Will be interesting to see where we sit after next Wednesday and only then will we have a better picture of our future. Let's hope.
The main thing is SOD knows him....we don't. He has worked with our current squad and must see him as a player to improve what he has at present.

About time we had a tall (6ft 1 ) full back, if I was a manager I would ideally want four 6 foot defenders who are at least comfortable with either foot and a good tackler, no disrespect to Joe Edwards but his height let him down, Foster is a decent footballer but not the best defender and remember he was at fault for the leeds goal - beaten in the air. This signing should make us stronger to defend set pieces - one of our downfalls this season. Edit.....................................Nice one Frank, welcome aboard and lets hear from you again soon..........................wiz..
Welcome Frank. But if you watch the video, McCormick heads it from FOUR yards. That should have been Heaton's ball that close to goal. I think it's a little unfair to blame Foster for that one.
