Not sure, but I believe his parents live in Italy. Whatever, he does need some regular football so I hope he gets some with this move.

It hasn't really worked out for him these past 15 months or so. He had the kerfuffle of his work permit hanging over him for a long while and then he's had a niggling injury worry for most of this season. It was always going to be difficult for him to live up to the hype surrounding him and being called Baby Drogba and then his explosive start in the 7-0 drubbing of Inter in the NetGen tournament.

He still has lots of time on his side, but there do remain parts of his game which need a lot of working on.

Strong talk today about Alex Pritchard moving to Liverpool to link up with Alex Inglethorpe.

Bugger, I was hoping that had passed. It's always disappointing to hear that someone who's done so well at all levels then hits a bit of a brickwall waiting to get a look in for the first team and ends up leaving. I know we've got a lot of competition in those places anyway but he was surely considered one of our brightest prospect.

Same as...if he does go, I hope its not on the strength of a certain bloke's mis-assessment behind the scenes.

Can't even beat a left-winger from the penalty spot, anyway... <whistle>

Seriously though, if this does go through, then I'll be fuming.
Stick him in against Leeds and then shove a contract under his nose, reminding him that he'll have to go up against Sandro and Kaboul one day if he goes Scouse. <grr>

When is Adebayor back? Togo won't go far in the competition will they?

I get confused with the names of a lot of our youngsters. is Alex Pritchard the skillful midfield youngster with blonde hair? Tom Carroll's sort of size and frame?

If so, then we're ****ing stupid and it completely defeats the object of this youth system, as he's one of the best, IMO.

There are far more players that need either a kick up the ****ing backside or moving on, before this guy leaves.

I'll be devastated if Pritchard goes Liverpool. In my opinion, by far our best outfield prospect and should be knocking on the door to the first team within a year or two. Plus, bar the Inglethorpe link, why on earth would he leave us for them? Unless they're offering to double/ triple his current salary.

If Togo lose to Algerian tomorrow, then they're out. One more game on Wednesday and that's it, unless they progress.

He's the one in the video above taking the penalty and he's the one that you're talking about. Tricky attacking midfielder, gets lots of assists and goals, scores plenty of free-kicks.
Probably the best of the crop, from what I've seen of him.

That's not Pritchard in the vid PNP, it's our keeper Jonathan Miles.

yeah I thought it was.

See, that's the sort of lad who looks like he's got a bit more about him. he's exciting and stands out. we can't be letting players like him go, as they are usually the only ones who end up really "making it". they are often few and far between, too.

Explains why he looks so put out, too. Must be a bit galling to find out that Bale's better in goal than you when it's your only job!

Diving in the box, something that goalkeepers are the experts in, or should be!

Interesting. The "twits" (who are actually who i believe to be the more reliable ones) seem to have lost their patience today.

Apparently all that's separating Holtby from joining us is a£300k difference, but because it's not been sorted, he's travelled with the team as normal. - so it looks like we won't have him for the weekend.

And the latest is much frustration being aimed at chelsea, with the "twits" claiming that our targets are being stolen by them. He's said it's not Willian, but hasn't said who it is. - I can only think it's Negredo, based on what they've been hinting towards over recent days. Unless it's Moutinho?! surely not.

Edit: Could be Damiao.

What are Schalke actually asking for? Varying reports claim £2m/ £3m and €2m/ €3m it's getting really confusing now. Tbh, I wouldn't expect nor blame Levy for not paying anything above £3m for a player we're getting for free in the Summer.

Really hope it's not Negredo! Now Llorente has agreed a move to Juve :)emoticon-0106-cryin) he's my number 1 target for the club. They've got Ba and Torres FFS! They can have Moutinho, won't lose too much sleep him but Negredo, they can just do one on that.

Edit: They can have Damiao too, again, like Moutinho, won't lose too much sleep on that.

I'm not sure mate. i've heard 800k and 1.1m - whether that's £'s or euro's we've offered, I dunno. - The question is how badly does Levy value Sandro's loss and is having a quality option worth the £300k? yes he might be coming in the summer anyway, but it's still only £300k which won't break the bank and is a much better financial option for Levy, even if he doesn't like the thought of it.

I have a feeling it's Damiao mate. Negredo isn't up to chelseas standards. However, another young Brazilian certainly is.

Yeah suppose you're right there, that's IF rumour is correct though and there is only a £300k difference.

Personally rate Negredo better than Ba and Torres (and Damiao) so I wouldn't be surprised if they've jumped in with a bid.
