One of the few statements of substance we've had from GFH, and fine, honest words. Helps us understand the Becchio situation very well. Anyone but this new Bates regime would have torn up the request. But this lot mean business. The selling business, unfortunately!
cant afford to keep becchio he wants to leave because you wont pay him what he is worth, cant afford to keep tate so sends him back to swansea.....What the hell is going on at leeds??? You need to pay these players the going rate if you want promotion at some point...
Tate was told that he wasn't required as Peltier had been a revalation as a CB (as opposed to a RB playing badly as LB!). Warnock confirmed this at the Press Conference today. Tate is probably just hurt & came up with this story. Then again, it is Leeds .....
Warnock has stated today explicitly that Becchio is currently on £15k a week. If that's not the "going rate" in the Championship then I don't know what is.
are this lot really Bates 2 in disguise I really think so lets face it he cleverly took the pressure of himself now he can sit back and count the money again
Your logic is flawed. If this is what has happened, bates was forced to do it in order to keep the scam going because the club was in a state where it was no longer profitable for him. Nothing has changed, the fans aren't returning and the things that will have to be done to get the fans coming back and spending millions on the club are going to cost a fair bit. The fans will not return until we see significant changes, including showing ambition in the transfer market. Stop with this conspiracy theory bullshit because it's boring. bates is powerless, as shown at the Christmas party, as shown by the fact he's no longer allowed to write programme notes, as shown by pretty much everything else that's going on.
We've not actually sold Becchio yet, in fact we've turned down 3 bids, somehow I suspect if Uncle Ken was still in charge Becchio would be gone by now.
We also wouldn't know how many bids we'd had for him, nor would we know how much money he is earning. As it stands, Warnock explicitly stated that he's on £15k a week, and the club has publicly told us about every bid we've received and turned down. This could actually be a way of the new owners showing their intent, making a statement about a star players transfer request then making statements each time a bid is turned down. It could be their way of showing us that they mean business.
We've spent years selling star players, what better way to show us things have changed than to refuse to sell a player who has requested a transfer
I wish people would stop banging on about undisclosed fees, literally every single club uses them, you'll barely ever see a club announcing how much a player has been bought or sold for.
Putting all that information out to the public (how many offers received, how much he's earning etc etc) sounds very much like like he's looking for offers Are you really that skint that you have to advertise your players this way? Even Bates wouldn't stoop as low as that
