    the portugese journo seems to think we have put a bid in, which stacks up with the sky story. i agree with the cautious attitude on here - putting a bid in doesn't mean we'll sign him. Fingers massively crossed though.

    the pink un message board will be in nuclear meltdown

    Glad to see we are showing some serious ambition to be looking at this guy. However as far as we know its just paper talk, so im not going to hold my breath, but would be a real statement if Hughton did pull this one off.

    A player i would love to see at Carrow Road is Marko Arnautovic. Any idea what he would cost? Availability?

    Marko Arnautovic - Werder Breman, Austrian, Serbian father. Scored 30 goals in 132 games (not all starts) and seven international goals. From YouTube clip looks very powerful (6ft. 4ins) but scoring rate (approx 1 in 4) seems unconvincing. Still a long way to go on this transfer window with 7 days left and counting.

    Arnautovic has been playing left and right wing for most of those games, but is still regarded as a striker, not really sure why he hasnt been playing up front

    Last time we bought a striker who had a poor goal tally because he was played on the wing he came in and scored 30 goals in his first season for us! ...Guess who?!

    Another reason why this isnt likely to happen could be wages? I dont know what he is on but lets say hes on 20k, he would want at least 30k. I dont know what he is on but what I do know if that I doubt we will go above 30k a week for any player.

    Im afraid I cant see us being able to afford Winkel. If we get him for anywhere like £10m it would be a massive coup! Just as long as our bid for him is reasonable this time!
