A lifetime following Leeds and gfcbates and their antics have finally broken me. Not bothered who we buy or sell anymore, know it'll always be a backward step. Becchio was one of my last remaining heroes, forced out by gfcbates having tried to get him to move to Hull last January. As always club tries to tarnish a player before he goes and no doubt, as usual there will be any who will choose to believe the club. Results don't really matter as the football is a poor division 2 standard. I've enjoyed my many trips over a lifetime but couldn't justify the cash required to travel anymore to watch the **** on view. Definitely time to take at least one step back and focus on things I get enjoyment from rather than a shell of a club that does nothing anymore other than irritate and annoy me
Sad as it is, I'm inclined to agree with you. For the first time in a long time, as it stands I won't be renewing my ST. Quite a few things are gonna have to happen in the next week for me to change my mind, and I can't see it.
Sad days Eire, I feel for you mate. I remember sitting it in the Kop at every league match when I was a kid. It was cold and wet and the place was rocking. We fielded a team of internationals who played everyone off the park, and the players fought for each other and their manager Don Revie. Since those days I watched the team go through ups and downs under various managers from Clough, Jock Stien, Jimmy Adamson etc and gradually fall by the wayside under Eddie Gray and the like, until we brought in Wilko. The academy was created under Paul Hart and we were the envy of football again as we were producing a conveyor belt of talent. Our academy blueprint was copied by the best clubs, only to see it cut up and sold up and closed down in piecemeal form. Wilko's blueprint came to fruition under DOL and Eddie at TA, so we once again challenged the best in Europe, but since those days we've seen problem after problem, but the last 8-years under the leach Bates, we've slipped to our lowest level and there is no signs of recovery. I stopped going last season and swore never to go again until Bates has gone or the club is destroyed. Bates is still there, and the new owners seem impotent, so fook em. I look at clubs like Stoke, Wigan, Southampton, Swansea, Norwich, QPR etc and think wtf, why are we so far behind these much smaller outfits. Why are we not able to compete in the transfer market against clubs like Hull, Ipswich, Leicester, Milwall ...... Fans have just about had enough
Same sentiments here too mate! Taking my 6 yr old to the Peterboro game. It will be his first & probably last game we go to. Don't want him growing up watching the ****e we watch, or suffer the continual disappointments the club dish out to the loyal fans. Like you said, the players USED to fight for each other & their gaffer, but that was a lifetime ago. Bates is the cancer that is slowly killing our club & he still hasn't been cut out! Its a slow painful demise of a once proud & great club. The Don & Billy will be turning in their graves.
Sorry to disappoint you lads but you cant give up its in your genes Millwall is a virus to me too many ups many downs but hey we love it and cant live without it PLEASE DONT TAKE MY MILLWALL AWAY and you guys are the same
Theres always someone. Byram and Lees in the summer. Probably about 3 million for the two. Keep titanic afloat till the next iceberg appears
Eire I have said this for years but lets be honest you couldn't live without it. Saturdays aren't the same without Leeds (summer is awful) As bad as the football is and the goings on with the club I still have to be there
What a sad state we are in I feel for all our fans I have tried my best to point NW in the right directionbutthe money is not there this was blatantly obvious when my 2 recommendation Chris woods goes to Leicester and look waht hes doing .We all knew that Becchio was next out of the doorto be followed by Byram and Lees at least when you support Bradford you know they won,t be buying anyone but with our lot all we get is empty promises has BATES really gone.... don,t thgink so!
We told you this months ago before the so-called take over/investment that never was Perhaps next time you'll listen to us wall lads
Summer this time was better than the rest of the season. At least, I spent most of that deluding myself we were about to become a kind of mini Man City and good times were a coming. Season starts and the realisation nothing has or will change. We're probably closer to becoming a mini Huddersfield. Personally, this summer will be another welcome break. As for Saturdays, by five o'clock I'm nearly always in foul humour trying not to think of that days match. So, I'm afraid YWBK, I'm gradually getting weaned off
