    Hello everyone,

A very casual user of these forums, been using Chelsea forums on and off since the 606 days.

This wont bother too many people, since I am not all that huge a participant, but I really have to say something.

I am going to stop using these boards, and in fact all football boards.
The reason: You are, most of you, a different type of football fan than I am used to. Not just the Chelsea board, but all "fans" on here.

This Hazard incident was the final straw for me. The amount of dribbling spastics giving their "opinion" on this matter has been outstanding.
The ball boy is probably one of the biggest twats I have ever heard of, how anyone can feel one iota of sympathy for him is beyond me.
That aside......most of the crap that gets posted on here is about money, what this player cost, what that player earns. The profit each club is making.
All the f**king lame sensationalist stories that the red tops thrive on, (John Terry, Ashley Cole, Rooney).
The amount of bias people have towards their respective clubs is ridiculous. And I am sorry but I think anything that drives people to have such skewed and f**ked up "opinions" on matters that are beyond normal human comprehension cannot be good.

I think its a combination of factors......21st Century football, and football fans that use computers.
Kind of half football fans, half forum geeks, its makes for a f**ked up combination of freaks that seem obsessed with money, talk absolute bollocks, and are addicted to trying to "one up" each other with irrelevant and inane "facts". Its just too f**ked up for me to continue to take part in.

Like I said, this wont cause any great grief as I am not exactly a major player on these boards. I just think 90% of you need to take a loooong look at yourselves and figure out if this is what you really think football is about.

    In short......you're all nuts!

Just take some time out and recharge those batteries.

I understand where you are coming from and you are right, just about all football forums seem to be the same. I tend to ignore most of the tripe and bitching on here and focus on what might be more important in relation to the team I follow (and a few others), it can be done <ok>

Have to say I'm of a similar opinion. Even when I try to offer as completely unbiased view as I can it's normally just followed by mindless none sense mainly angled abusively. Wish it was different but it's not. A lot of the people (obviously not all - there are some really good posters) are pretty much my least favourite type of fan - all about the abuse rather than appreciating the game. It's also not helped that I'm losing my love of football in recent seasons. I might stop posting (at least not as frequently) as well tbh.

Banter and rivaly is good but when you see the amount of posts regarding this Hazard incident alone, you realise that a lot of people go on these forums purely on the wind up - and it's frankly a bit tiresome.

However it's compounded by our club having this 24 7 foot in mouth syndrome. We can not go more than about a week without some contraversy croping up and I think some of the OP's frustrations may stem from this as well.

    Very good post this.

Partisan fans are the curse of football forums.

I regularly browse this forum, when i first joined to football banter was great.

But some of the stuff i read now is just pure evil, i would never be seen around or want to sit next to some of the chelsea fans that use this board, makes me ashamed to know there are fans like that spouting off in that manner, obviously there are people from other boards who are also as bad.

I dont mind any conversation football related as long as it is conversation and doesnt turn into abuse and delusion. I agree with Bodanki and varier. I dont know why i bother, but its good to now and then see a decent debate!

I don't think you can blame your club, this is the modern world where the smallest incident is blown up out of all proportion. Years ago the ballboy incident would have been remarked on by fans at the pub afterwards 'did you see that! Ha ha!' The referee would have ignored it and it would have passed by unnoticed as the more important matter of the game continued. All such unimportant issues are reported ad nauseam while the really important issues of the day are dealt with in sound bites.

Good stuff Spurf. What is interesting is that technology doesn't seem to help - the Hazard incident has been shown from all angles and still no-one agrees about what happened, never mind what the punishment should be.

To the OP - More than half the posters on here annoy me - but I ignore them for the interesting ones

To true mate and all made worse by plastic glory hunting twats who purport to support one club but park on here with there brainless drivel trolling us genuine fans. The plastics are the worst followed by the Spuds & Pikey's. When we've all ****ed off they will all go back to school.

Not you too Varier !!! You and Bodanki are among the very few with opinions worth reading, who always maintain your sense of humour and don't resort to personal abuse.
Don't let the rock apes win the day !!!
Take a week off and a few deep breaths instead for all our benefits.

Ha I'm glad you think so. I don't think I'll leave (however annoyed I get, my love of footy is too great) but I'll probably just avoid most topics. The way I see it is as soon as a topic gets over a page it's just an argument! <laugh> This site started so well.

I agree with a lot of what has been said, but the way I handle it is to try and see everything from a funny point of view, if someone comes on here to wum I think what a prat they are and ignore them, (mostly, but I have let rip once or twice when views become personal) I also never discuss the money side of it because there's nothing I can personally do to change it, no matter how much other supporters go on (and on, and on ) about how Chelsea are only where they are because of the money ploughed in blah blah , I think who cares, not me , I just enjoy the games same as I always have, if someone gave their clubs a ton of money would they say no thanks. Of course not.

There are always going to be so called fan's on forum's that are mostly there just to cause agro. The same as there will always be supporters at the grounds that care more about drinking, and fighting with their opposing team supporters than actually going to watch the game. Good ol' bovver boys, they are a waste of space but will always be around and we can't give in to them.

We have had a lot of crap to deal with this year but every season has it highs and low's and we'll come through it as we always have. The Hazard incident did bring out the real nasties, but it also bought out other team supporters coming on here and agreeing with us. I was very surprised, and pleased with some of the Swansea supporters comments.

So come on lads stay with us and keep posting and share the enjoyment of our team with your fella supporters, everyone on here makes a really good contribution, all we have to do is sort out the wheat from the chaff.

Take his bet, make it millions, and then come back in a week with your same name. You have many witnesses to the bet on here. Treat him as the idiot he obviously is
