The Massive Club come to town this weekend as they look for only their second win in their last six outings in all competitions. We are in a lot better form and since the turn of the year have taken maximum league points. Last weekend Sheffield Wednesday drew 0-0 at home to Wolves whilst we were impressive again on the road beating Blackburn 2-1 with goals from Dale Stephens and Yann Kermorgant.

Just over a month ago we lost to Sheffield Wednesday away at Hillsborough. I expect it to be different this time. Wednesday have been pretty dire for most of the season and there is no reason why we can't come away with all 3 points. I expect it to be a very physical scrappy game and I'm going to go for a 2-1 win.

How about a chorus of
"You're not massive
You're not massive
You're not massive any more"

Very little chance of Taylor and Pritchard being dropped for Dervite and Kerkar. Don't expect BWP to start ahead of Fuller if we play 2 up front.

I am not the biggest Waggy fan but I would expect him to start after two wins. And if not him, then Fuller rather than BWP. And Taylor and Pritchard to start for sure.

I agree with you about 2-1. Secretly hoping for 5-0 though.

<cheers> Belv

Same team as last two games, perhaps Wiggins in for Ceddy with Ceddy moving to LM??

Why do you keep pushing for Kerkar's inclusion Belv.? He hasn't produced the goods for about three months now.

Pritch for selim, waggy for BWP (didn't think I'd ever say that). They've earned the right to continue.

Now for Wednesday- I'd be disappointed by anything less than 4. I really want us to see them get smashed and leave demoralised, perhaps questioning going forward as a club. Horrible name, outdated stadium, idiots for fans, but worse- a horrible kit.

I have an awful feeling that Wednesday are going to win - their away form is similar to our own i.e. better than at home.

I like the idea of Evina at LM with Wiggins at LB, but that would be harsh on Waggy.

0-2 is my prediction :(

Won't be there I'm afraid. Had a heart attack on Sunday morning and just got out of hospital after some stenting procedures to unblock and repair damaged artery. Another procedure to come in a few weeks to sort out the other side. Terrible family history - got both my parents, mother at 49 so not entirely unexpected but didn't quite think it wouold be this soon (I'm 48!). Massive (sorry) pat on the back to all the boys and girls of our ambulance service and the surgeons and nurses at Darenth Valley and King's College Hospital (Sam Oram Ward - you are real stars!). Everyone from the drivers to the surgeons to the tea ladies were utterly brilliant and I salute them all. Particularly for getting me from Darenth Valley to Kings in 25 minutes through the worst of the snow on Sunday morning. Makes you think about footballers' wages when you see how much these good people get! Proper heros. Anyway, back home and on the mend but with very strict instructions to put the feet up for a month. I'm sure putting a few past the wendies would be too much excitement for a boy in my condition so I'll just have to follow on here. 5-0 would be a nice pick me up!

That's horrible Jimbob, but I'm glad things are seemingly on the up and OK. Put your feet up and get well soon pal <hug>

Blimey...sorry to hear about that. Hope you get better soon :)

Very sorry to hear about your problems, Jimbob. As you will know, complete longterm recovery is very possible these days. You are one of the more cheerful and equanimous posters here, so if you are like that in the real world too that will help a lot, but you might consider supporting a different club. Not too many upsetting results if you support Barcelona.

Totally endorse your comments about the National Health Service, too. I talk to a lot of Yanks where I live and you wouldn't believe their ignorance about it, all fed by their bullshit media.

Ouch! bet that was a bit of a worry Jimbo

All the best mate <ok>

All the best to Jimbob, hope the team get the result he's asked for.

I think Mary is too harsh on Wendies. It is the worst day of the week, but it's quaint. Hillsborough is decent. Not a fan of stripey shirts, apart from maybe Hull colours.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys. I'm very positive about it all. Lots of people don't get a second chance. Regarding it as a warning and a kick up the bum!

A glorious day dawns in sunny Tewkesbury - I looked out at the beautiful, snow covered scenery this morning and though to myself "What a wonderful day to absolutely stuff The Massive Club". <laugh>

Realistically, a narrow victory to us would be my guess, say 2-1 with Big Mig spoiling our clean sheet.

I'd be more optimistic of giving them a good tonking if our home form wasn't so patchy.

COYR!
