I don't agree, I feel the Stoke player was trying to halt his run and get out of the way (no penalty) but a tiny amount of contact was made which caused the sprinting Davies to fall....Michu felt there was contact as his hand shoots up straight away.

Apologies to whomever posted the other video, I can't seem to play it but I assume it was Chico when he first signed.....there was uproar about that on our own board. It is noticeable how Chico's behaviour has changed markedly since he first arrived from the Spanish/Italian leagues.
Our fans and club demand it.
We don't go much for that around here, in a land where you are still considered a bit of a pussy if you play footie rather than rugby union.

Wind your neck in lad, Davies dived/cheated and the ref booked him.<laugh>

On the yellow card Davies received for diving inside the box, Laudrup added: “From the bench it seemed like it was a penalty but after seeing the replays afterwards I have more doubts.”

Not exactly the condemnation it deserved, but fair play to him for calling it like it is. Fergie would told us how he nearly died and might have post tackle distress disorder!

Find it funny how a fan who deplores cheating in any form can defend such a obvious dive, contact may cause you to stumble not make your legs suddenly get cramp.

I agree timmy, pity Tw's hatred of LFC/Suarez blinds him to the fact that players of other clubs(his own included)dive and cheat.

Talking of banning people, Carrollsponytail has been posting a bit recently. Unfortunately some inappropriate things which I feel deserves a ban, I'm sure as an honest and popular member of the board my word is enough evidence so there is no need to check. A swift eviction from the fantasy league is also probably in the best interest for everyone. <ok>

He said what I said. It wasn't a penalty or a dive.

Page, in my opinion my club has an exemplarary record regarding diving and cheating and I stand by that.
Not claiming our players are angels just that diving and cheating is not tolerated in these parts.

I don't hate LFC. You merely irritate me. Mainly due to the excuses, Rodgers and some of the hypocrisy on this board.

We both know that if I wanted to find examples of your players cheating and diving, or your manager excusing this, the thread would go on for another 14 pages :)

By the way Page you still haven't apologised for claiming I laughed at you lot for winning the League Cup.

On the contrary, pre season I started a thread on our board asking "what's the best a club our size can achieve" (or something) and stated that I felt we were at the stage where we could conceivably win a cup, any cup. I also stated that this is what I believed was the limit of what we could achieve because the Prem is such a rigged game (due to the money).
I value the League Cup.

Fair play, i do indeed apologize Tw, it was Dilli.<ok>

It was as about as blatant as it gets, and your continual defense of it has completely destroyed the rest of your argument.

All players cheat from time to time its part of any game, we may not like it but then again i don't think many of us on here have the mentality of a top professional sports person.

No, Suarez against Stoke was as blatant as it gets.

Of course it was, have you seen any of us defend it?.

Truth is he gets kicked and stamped on with very little said about that and every time he goes to ground it's under the microscope, the surprising thing is hes vindicated(apart from Stoke), we/he accept hes a hated figure but hes deffo been given more stick than say Bale in the 'press' even though Bale's been booked more times for diving.

In the League Cup final, my backing will be 100% behind the ex-Liverpool player that is Stephen Darby <ok>

Oh, come off it, Terror.
"Everyone cheats but us- we wouldn't stand for it" is a bit pious, don't you think?
And lumping us all together as hypocrites doesn't help your argument.

I take no notice of those tables.
Usually when we play Stoke, or the likes of Stoke, the opposition spends most of their time trying to kick us off the park whilst we play possession football and yet we invariably end up with at least the same amount of cards as the opposition.
Absolutely baffles me and probably says more about the British football culture than any conspiracy involving referees.

Having said that, if we are not going to win a competition, I prefer it when we go out a competition to the eventual winners too. Hmm....

Let me guess....you're sitting on the fence for this one?

<laugh>

#classicDev

I'd say I am 60:40 in favour of Bradford but yeah, I like a sit on the fence although Terrorwhateverhisnameisbuthelivesonthisboard could change that <laugh>
