Seriously if someone said to me at the start of the window "On January 24th, you'll have lost Demba Ba, but signed Mbiwa, Debuchy, Haidara (is this done?), Moussa Sissoko and Yoan Gouffran" I'd have snapped their fecking hand off! Seriously good work if these Haidara and Sissoko deals are confirmed.

I don't mean to sound greedy but is it too much to ask for a top class striker to follow? I just think if we could get someone along the lines of Wolfswinkel we'd have some squad. Of course Colo is not yet confirmed but it does seem likely he is set to stay until the summer.

It's about £14m net spend this window.

If we'd spent that in the summer, nobody would have blinked.

On the one hand, we could have bloody well done with these feckers in the first half of the season. On the other, absolutely unbelievable exampes of bargain shopping.

Great thing about it is most ofthedeals seem to be fantastic value too ...

    Mbiwa - 6.5m
    Sissoko - 2m
    Gouffran - 1.5m
    Haidara - 2.9m
    Debuchy - 5m

Amazing value. What's that? 18m in total? For 2 promising squad players and 3 French internationals

    Article on Toulouse's official website:

    http://www.tfc.info/news/1159993/mercato-moussa-sissoko-à-newcastle

Moussa SISSOKO not terminate his contract TFC. He agreed with the Newcaslte United Football Club for a definitive transfer that takes effect today. It will therefore evolve in England in the English Premier League championship.

Moussa SISSOKO was formed in Toulouse Football Club where he played in most of the categories of youth training center in Toulouse.

He made his official debut with the professional team of the TFC during the 2007-08 season. Came into play against Valenciennes (3 August 2007), it is then incumbent for matches against Lyon and Liverpool, in the preliminary round of the Champions League. Powerful medium that prefers to grow in line, Moussa scored his first goal official on 1 September 2007 at the Stadium against AJ Auxerre (2-0). He played 30 games in Ligue 1 in his first season (plus four European Cup).

In the second season, Moussa called by Erick Mombaerts selection in Youth (September 2008).

Moussa then played more than 35 games per season on average as a starter with TFC, his 2009-10 season remains the most prolific with seven goals scored. It is also at this time that he honors his first cap for France in Guingamp (10 October 2009). Raymond Domenech, then coach, does come into play during the match France-Faroe Islands in the qualifiers for the 2010 World Cup. Called again by Didier Deschamps in 2012 teammate Etienne Capua, he has six selections in the Blue jersey when leaving the TFC.

All the club wishes him continued success in his career.

Sissoko could be our greatest signing of the last seventeen years! Our very own Patrick Vieira. Class and culture in our centre midfield for the first time since Sir Bob Lee and Gary Speed?

God I hope so. Apparently he was quoted as an 18m player a couple of years ago. Have to admit I've never seen him play, but any reinforcements, especially those so highly rated are most welcome.

I don't get this? He hasn't signed and I won't believe it till he does. I've just seen Harry Redknapp at Newcastle airport with a big brown envelope.
