    Think it was Cardiff that were after Fraizer C

    Very disappointed for DJ that things didn't work out for him at Loftus Road. His desire and passion to play for the club were never in doubt and that is a lesson to some of our less committed squad members

    We were interested in FC, until Cardiff offered him £30k a week (matching his Sunderland wages despite him only having 6 months left) and gave him a 3 1/2 year contract. We weren't going to pay that to a player who's had 2 serious injuries in recent years.

    As I put on another thread, we had a bid in for DJ in August that we didn't follow through on for one reason or another. Things have changed so we're back in for him now, and I was told over Xmas and New Year we would be going after the two Campbells and Becchio, with a view to signing one of them in January so it's not like he's an outright 2nd choice, we're just waiting on you getting your deals done so that he can leave.

    i wish it was bothroyd who was going and not dj. dj has been scoring more in the champ than bothroyd. is it because dj has higher wages?

    He will definitely do well for you. Shame he hasnt really had a good run of games with us as I think he could do well.
