    One of the most talent player's to ever grace Old Trafford. <whistle>

    How many people can say they've megged Luis Figo, scored a game winning goal against your most hated rival in front of their most dedicated fans, keep a clean sheet in goal, and score a beauty of a goal against your most consistent title rivals in the last 15 years?

    <cheers>

    Great game when he went in goal.. Can't remember what game it was remember watching and laughing though..

    Was watching on espn classic last night the 99 cup final. Sheringham scored a beauty from a great ball from scholes.. Andy cole missing the goal at every opportunity.. (Awaits chiefs defence of cole)

    Who did Rio do it against then?

    I thought Rio was Tottenham.

    Has Rio even gone in goal/ I recall him doing so as well as O'shea

    I remember when O'Shea first came on the scene, filling in at left back, he really did look like he was going to turn out to be a world class defender. He was big, strong, quick and he wasn't frightened to express himself when he went forward. Im sure he even won young player of the year. Phil Jones reminds me a little of him now.

    He never really fulfilled that potential, but you have to admire his professionalism throughout his career with us. He accepted that he wasn't going to play every game, but he always gave his all when called upon in what ever position SAF decided to play him in.

    He will always get a great reception when he returns to Old Trafford :biggrin:

    Rio Went in goal in the FA cup against Portsmouth after Van der Saar was subbed at half time and Kuszczak got a red and gave away a penalty, so Rio went in goal, conceded the pen and we lost.

    Like others have said O'Shea was in goal vs Spurs, really proved to be the ultimate utility player, after taking on the mantle from Phil Neville, both great team players.

    Cole couldn't be arsed with the fa cup that year, he was too busy banging them in in the champions league and chipping in title clinching goals a week before.
