Think this has already been denied by somone close to the team...mind you that may mean nothing. Peach reckons we are being used to force prices up (loving that!). It will be interesting to see if Poch is more open than Nigel or if all the secrecy is a club thing. We will soon know if MP does one of his long convuluted speeches and the interpreter is taken out by a sniper before he can speak.
Simon Peach would not be told anything about transfers, he only covers squad training/games, Sibley wouldnt tell him nothing as he would just tweet it straight away.
But they could tell him stuff they want broadcasted....then they need not deny it officially or they could use him to do a smokescreen. Oh dear, I am becoming a conspiracy theorist
Surely for this to warrant a separate thread from the rumour thread, it has to be pretty concrete. This isn't, frankly, so in my opinion it should be merged with the rumour thread.
Are you sure it's not just a rumour that there is a rumour that he is remoured not to want to come to Southampton?
According to the BBC Liverpool have just increased their bid for this player to 7.6 million, so leaves further speculation that this rumour from the daily fail is another poorly researched story.
Coutinho has seen Dutch star Wesley Sneijder leave to join Galatasaray in Turkey this week and, now he is over a calf injury, he is looking to become a mainstay in the Inter side. He told Tuttesport: "I'm not for sale, I feel the confidence of the coach and the club and I am fully focused on getting back as soon as possible."
Sneider has played 5 games all season for Inter due to him moaning about his contract offer. Coutinho has played ten games but their manager wants to buy Paulinho for around â¬15m. Inter have already said they need to sell to buy and Countinho would attract the largest fee, but I have doubt's whether we have made a bid anyway.
http://www.tribalfootball.com/artic...se-them-over-southampton-3771351#.UQExqid97h4 I'm not sure how reliable this link is but it does look like Liverpool are the favourites.
I understood that Liverpool say they don't want to get into a bidding war with Saints. Well they won't because we have already met Inter Milan's valuation of the player, ie £10+M, whereas 'Pool are stuck on £8M. The only reason why they may be in the box seat still is simply because the player doesn't want to play for us. He obviously hasn't spoken to Cortese yet though, as I'm pretty sure Nicola could make him an offer he wouldn't be able to refuse.
