Norwich did attemps to buy Hooper. Why dont we? He is a classy striker with remakable scoring ratio. I've seen him play and he would be a hit in the prem too. Big problem is, that Celtic is still in champions league.

Either Harry does not rate him for whatever reason or the plague of being bottom with the drop more likely than not. The lack of players signing so far makes the Remy deal all the more remarkable. We may have to hope that the Adel / Remy partnership will be enough. Desperate for defenders now too.

He is a good player but not sure if we will go for him, I think Zamora, Betty and Remy will be it for our 25

Harry has shown that he is not scared to play without strikers so I think 3 will be it, Mackie and Taarabt can play further forward if needed

I would never forgive it to 'arry if Hooper goes to Norwich and scores mass of goals. Maybe Celtic wont even sell him, but cant understand if QPR have not been even intrested of him.

I'd have Hooper everyday of the week. Just what we need at the moment. Bothroyd and Zamora are certainly not what we need for a dog fight.

If Hooper is that good why is he still playing in Scotland? A cv that shows scunthorpe and celtic...would be a gamble in the epl.

Every player who is signed to QPR nowadays seems to be a gamble. Hooper has proved himself also in europe with 16 matches and 7 goals. He plays still in scotland because no big club hasn't bought him yet and Celtic could pay him reasonable good wages and chance to play in UCL. He is a natural goalscorer and just what we are lookin for. With Him, Remy and Taarabt upfront we could survive. Wake up 'arry!

Lennon saying they want £7 - 10m for him. Thats a lot. We can then wind back and say we should have signed Rhodes when we had the chance.

I'm sure there is better for that sort of money

Let me know who? 24 yrs old who scores regularly in europe as in their own league. He is british so playing in EPL wont come to him as a cultureshock as it would be for french, italian and spanish players. He is more than used to british winter/weather and so on and so on......Just buy him!

Got to agree with this, Hooper might well be scoring a bagpipe full up there but so did Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller, would you be happy if we signed either of them?? I'm not saying he definitely wouldn't score down here but I think we're better off going for the likes of Remy that have scored in a much harder league and at international level. For £7m it's too much of a risk, if we could get him for half that then it would be worth the gamble.................or if we go down!!

And he's only scored 2 more goals than Taarabt this season, for a team 5th in the league!!

It'd be a gamble, just like all signings are. Remember kris boyds record up there? Much better than hoopers. He's on a free now but no one wants to know, understandably. We just have to leave it to the manager, he picks the team and tactics so he has to be the one to choose the players he thinks will suit his system and ethos.........

I believe Hooper have done much better than them escpecially in UCL. You will see his worth when norwich, swansea or wba buy him.

I agree Igor. And all the clubs you mention are better in the market than us.

Yes, he's scored a magnificent 2 goals in the Champions League this year, both against Spartak Moscow who managed 3 points and conceded 14 in 6 games. Also, 50% less than Samaras...........would you want him??

Look, I'm not saying he wouldn't be a success, he might very well be, he looks like a decent finisher. All I'm saying is that I'd rather, if we were to spend £7 - £10m on a forward, go for someone that's scored consistently in a top European league. Hooper hasn't done that.................yet.

Any club in the bottom ten can say that Col anyway Remy may not even get in the team in 5 matches as Betty scores in every match ... Look what happened on here re HH he wasn't even thought of as a first team player then he scored and he is then a hero ... get a grip Chief!
