    Morning Peeps,

    Could it be true?

Could Mad Max be on his way back to Elland Road?

Its being touted around by Phil Hay and our very own Simon21-LUFC.
You'll recall last month after rumours of a move back to Elland Road first materialised, Gradel said: “I have a contract here (at St Etienne) until June 2015, I’ve settled well and I’m enjoying my football. But I’m a lover of English football and its atmosphere. I’m 25 years old and I know my love affair with English football is not finished yet so you never know.

“At the moment my French club is doing well so I am happy here but things happen quickly in football.”

If this is true, then GFH are showing intent. You never know, there may be a buy back clause?

Everton have denied Leeds United permission to play Ross Barkley in their FA Cup clash with Tottenham Hotspur this weekend.
Barkley has been made ineligible for the clash after parent club Everton refused to allow him to play before their tie at Bolton Wanderers on Saturday.

Leeds had hoped that Barkley would be able to play if Everton lost their Fourth Round tie at the Reebok Stadium on Saturday but competition rules stipulate that a player must have received the required clearance to play by 12pm on Friday.

Craig Dawson is a done deal, unfortunately not for us. The England U21 centre back is joining Bolton til the end of the season, thoughts?

Lee Bowyer is training with Boro. Could he still do a job for us?

What do these players see in these smaller clubs. Surely now Bates has gone, the prospect of Leeds Utd is a big pull, agree?

The ball boy incident. What would have been the consequence had a Leeds player have commited the so called offence?

Morning, hello, is there anyone out there? Well done Swansea last night and what a load of cobblers on sky about the ballboy incident. Even they're diving now and I'm in no way condoning Hazards actions. Only a week of transfer window left Thank God. Imagine what the summer's going to be like. Months of speculation with nothing happening. Oh wait, that was last summer wasnt it?

    Morning all.

Gradel? If we are going after him I say well done GFH, but I'll believe it when I see it. As far as the window goes, I'm still downbeat as it just seems like more of the same. Hoping that the new owners are able to put their own stamp on the club soon, because at the moment there's no change at all from the old bearded regime. The fans need a lif guys, do something.

Warnock is the fly in the ointment as we have no idea if GFH want him for next season, if Warnock wants to stay etc. Again we need to know whats going on because if we did, we could then guage the reasons for the lack of activity in the window, and if the dressing room is down, which could explain the shocking displays we've had to witness.

The ball boy was the Swans chairman's son wasn't he? 17-year old diver needed a boot up his arse :emoticon-0102-bigsm

    Morning Elland, morning all.

I'm a bit more tetchy than usual. Just got out of hospital after a kidney stone went on the rampage. Nurse told me that the pain level is considered to be higher than that of a gunshot wound. Need to take her word for it - I ain't gonna get myself shot to compare it!

    Now to business!

Maxi returning? More likely to be the resurrection of Jesus Christ, IMO. Looks like a 'we tried our hardest' smokescreen for signing bugger all of merit during the window. Do they think we're THAT naive? Could a mid-table, skint, has-been, Championship club really sign a player from a crack team, playing Champions League & earning a top wage? You couldn't make it up, could you. "Join a shiite team, be the only good player, earn a comparative pittance, and enjoy mid-table mediocrity for the rest of your career. Class players would be falling over themselves to sign after that sales pitch, wouldn't they?

Pity about Dawson. Were we really ever in for him?

No issue with Barkley situation. Doubt he'd make that much difference on Sunday. Bowyer? Could be another Brown if he was fast enough to catch anyone. If Ipswich threw him out, how does that make him useful to us (or are we that desperate)?

Leeds a big draw? Only to has-beens & players of lower league heritage 'with potential', it would seem (I'm thinking 'flies 'round shiite).

Hazard assault? Already made my feelings clear on this last night. I won't accept the 'kissed & made up' theatre that is prevalent in football to escape the laws of the land. If a parent did that to a kid at a school football match, they'd be villified & jailed. Rich football players seem to escape the might of UK law, even when transgressing live on television.

Morning all. Well done to the Swans. Ballboy was a bit of a prat, but he didn't deserve to be assaulted in that way. Hazzard should receive a healthy ban & face a court case for assaulting a minor. Didn't look as though there was any diving going on, just an assault.

I'm with Doc. I'll believe the Gradel story when it happens. We still need to replace Gradel/Snoddy, & the sooner that happens, the better our chances of going up this season.

Well done the Swans I remember when we got to Wembley for the first time the whole City was ablaze
Gradel to Leeds a Bates ploy to get the fans talking no more no less
Why not go and loan Sinclair and Gutetti from Man Citythen you would get me to say now your talking!
The ball boy incident taken totally out of context I would have done the same the boys job is to assist play not to hold it up .He was after glory and now he,s got his 15 minutes of fame .Hazard should be exonerated

Sinclair who proved himself in the premier league last year and is now playing (albeit limited) football for the premier league champions is going to come on loan to a mid table, mediocre championship side? And the same Guidetti who scored 20 goals in 23 games for Feyenoord in the dutch top division going on loan to us? Really? Think it through, even if we had millions to spend and were an attractive proposition to players they'd still prefer to go to premiership teams or their foreign equivalents. Our level would be Burke (who we've missed out on) and Dindane.

Good Morning, only a few more days left of the false hope I have every transfer window, and then I can get back to wholehearted moaning and whining.

The fact Bates isn't in control of anything might have done for that theory.

My personal one is that we have actually made an approach for him as has been reported. The amount of "bring back Max" stuff Haigh and Patel were being bombarded with after the TO it wouldn't surprise me if they'd decided to save all the available cash for that one move.

Would be pleased with that. Second choice LB in England's last World Cup squad. Got to be a better bet than Peltier anyway.

Got to be honest, Peltier looks half decent at CB. And anything that keeps him away from LB is fine with me <ok>

Peltier is not a LB. He is club captain & therefore should play somewhere. With the rise & rise of Byram, it made some sense to play him at LB, as we apparently had a decent enough CB combination. That said, Warnock has finally cottoned on to what the rest of us saw & now has an LB with a left foot. Peltier & Lees also don't seem too bad a pairing at CB. My question is therefore, do we need another LB, or is Warnock going to stop White developing as a LB by bringing someone else in?

Depends if he thinks White can develop there. He said a few weeks ago that he thought Peltier was better than White at LB, which means he must think White is truly diabolical <yikes>
