Check it again you can see he clearly kicks the boy in the ribs with the toe end of his boot. It's like a defender claiming he got the ball after going through the other player.

I find it funny talking about whether he got the ball or not, considering it was a tackle on the ball boy <laugh>
 
Cannot condone what Hazard did but the ball boy was a little sh*t, and I thought it the whole thing was quite funny! Well in Hazard!! <ok>
 
What the ball boy did was totally wrong, it looked to me like hazard tried to kick the ball and I do not blame hazard. It is not comparable to what Cantana did. The ball boys were up to things all night, the ref should have dealt with it earlier as it is a form of time wasting.
Not only did he clearly hit the ball but we now have ball boys making a meal of the contact ffs
The red card was right according to the rules and that should be it end of.
Although why this is on our board i have no idea- that is usually what someone pipes up and says to me when i put something on the forum about other clubs.<whistle>
 
Hazard should get a minimum 3 month ban, he was wrong to kick out, its irrelevant the ball boy was being a cock, the Ref would just add on time.
 
When Suarez is attacked for his wrong doings we as fans are up in arms defending him and ignoring facts or looking for different angles to the situation and at times we are right to do so. Why are some still so quick to condemn Hazard for his actions?

He was wrong to kick that kid but the lad was wrong to hold onto the ball and in all honesty I'd have kicked the little ****er.

Perhaps Hazard just cared that his team was going out of the cup and was frustrated by the ball boys actions and therefore lost control. It happens and he'll be punished appropriately.
 
Has anybody else seen this interview? It was Nevins reaction more than what hazard did which is another post.

Partly because of the constant condemnation of Suarez, partly because its the chavs again and partly because I think he was completely out of order.

Why didn't he pull or push the kid off the ball. He went straight to kick.
 
There is absolutely no way shape or form that Hazard can justify kicking the ball boy, there absolutely no reason for it whatsoever and will be punished for it. However, the ball boy should be dealt with too because he was clearly interfering with a sporting event (he turns 18 in August so its not like he doesn't know better). Personally, I'd rather it be forgotten about, Let Hazard serve his three match ban and move on.

He did try and pull and push him off the ball Hazard spent about 10 seconds trying to get the ball back before trying to kick the ball. Maybe Pat Nevin had a point on the interview this morning its just been made to look worse by not showing the whole incident. He was wrong in my opinion to blame it all on the ball boy and not acknowledge Hazards part in it.

Just so you know, sky news had a piece on it and showed it took a total of 5 seconds of 'interaction' between the two before Hazard kicked him. They made a point, that most goal keepers keep hold of the ball for twice as long, legally.
He didn't once try to pull or roll the boy. He looked like a kid who couldn't get his change out of his money box, so kicked it.
