What kind of reception will Nelsen get at his final match for us versus City? I am presuming a good one. While I feel a little disappointed in him for leaving us at such a critical time particularly as he has been such a colossus, I will give him the respect he deserves. I hope there will be no element voicing their disapproval.

he got a great reception at the end of the Spurs game where i think he and a lot of fans thought he would be off, so I expect no different

I hope he does a lap of honour at the end and gets a rousing reception. While he was here he was fantastic for us and i wish him well in his new management role.

A fond farewell to a great servant of the club.

He did a good job so I guess it will get a good reception. Would not overrate his performance though since he only stayed here for a short time and he did what he was paid for.

Disagree. You can't be a 'great servant' after only a few months no matter how well you played during them. And remember he was a fixture in the back 4 when things were going seriously pear shaped and we couldn't defend a set piece for love nor money. Most of all he's now leaving us in the lurch: even if that's considered 'understandable' as many seem to think it surely can't mean he's been been one of the greats. Disappointed.

Didn't call him a club great or a legend just a great servant, ie showed passion put himself on the line and showed he cared.

Polite applause, that's what he is deserving of, I wouldn't go over the top.

I was at Sir Les' homecoming and will never forget the ovation he got before and after the game. Now there was someone who really deserved it.

I don't think that anybody's trying to put him into the "club legend" category in the same sense as Sir Les or Macca. But let's be honest, when he first came here expectations weren't high and a lot of us (me included) just expected him to be a squad player. Maybe he'd get a few starts, but essentially he was experienced back-up. However, since then no one can argue that in an underperforming team he has been one of our most consistent and important players.

I say best of luck to him, and I hope he gets a good reception. <ok>

Utter tosh. The team might have been falling apart around him, but Nelsen was about the only person consistently putting in a shift. When has he had a bad game? Why do so many fans think so much of him? Because he was nothing short of outstanding, like Derry in our promotion year.

His move isn't like he's jumping ship, it's a new step in his career and one he can't refuse. He's on borrowed time and one injury will signal the end of his playing days,so an offer like this is one he just can't turn down. To accuse him of abandoning us I is just petty, if not for him we wouldn't have as many points as we do now. Anyone who boos and gives nothing short of a hearty cheer, well not very loyal fans IMO.

Well, he hasn't played for us for that long, so I was thinking more on the lines of wine (one glass each) and nibbles rather than a full blown reception. Perhaps we can have a whip round and give him a fondue set.

One of a handful of players who actually does what he's paid to do!

Thanks for what you've done and good luck in your new job!

I am not a season ticketholder at Toronto FC - I can only ever manage a few matches per season - but perhaps we can organizae a little reception on this side of the water - like beat vancouver on opening day
