Redknapp sent assistant Joe Jordan to watch left-back Olsson in action after being tipped off that his old employers West Hamâs bid for the Swede was failing. Hammers chief Sam Allardyce only wants to pay around £2million for Olsson, and Redknapp is now set to trump him with an offer close to £3m. Rovers rejected Norwichâs £3.5m bid for Olsson on the last deadline day, but may take a similar figure now. Redknapp is also interested in bringing proven defender Dann to rock-bottom Rangers - even though he has the unwanted record of going down with Rovers last year and Birmingham the season before. He would cost around £4m. New manager Michael Appleton wants to bring in two or three new faces at the troubled Championship club, and is finding it hard to move in fringe players he does not want. Appleton fancies Manchester City youngster Karim Rekik as Olssonâs possible replacement.
Dont rate Dann at all, and as the article says he has gone down with Birmingham and Blackburn in the last two seasons.

Scott Dan and one of the Ollson brothers are probably the kinds of players we will be limited to.oT be honest,I think they are better than what we have,so right at this moment I would take them both.Just over a week left in the window,so we dont want to end up with nothing!
Wouldn't it be great if we bought both brothers and the one from WBA? The commentary would be great!! Olsson to olsen back to olsson, a cross field pass out to olsson who brings it down and passes neatly back to olsen, he rolls it back out to the left back olsson.... I think we should make it our new transfer policy to only sign players called olsen/olsson. The opposition wouldn't have a clue who they are supposed to be marking! ;0)
Dann was quality when Birmigham had their promotion year and subsequent first season in the EPL (when i think they won the league cup, though that could have been the year after). He was strongly linked to liverpool at the time, but since then his stock as well as his partner who's name escapes me has well and truly plummeted so I dont know if he could still cut it
