No Cantona done the right thing, i said at the time the guy deserved even worse, the ban for cantona was ridiculous. It's pathetic how you can get abused yet as soon as a football says or does something back they're screwed. The fact is this wouldn't have happened if the ballboy had done his job, or if it was Torres as he would of missed the ballboy lol. Does the ballboy deserve a beating? No. Do i think it's wrong Hazard gave him a little kick in the ribs though? No, the ballboy should be doing his job instead of being a cheating little dickhead acting like a 10 year old so he got the equivalent of a kick up the ass or a slap to sort him out. No doubt the ballboys in heaven now though, 17 and can now milk this for everything he wants, he started it yet he's the victim and will soon be a rich guy
I'm not bias unlike you matth, i couldn't care less what player it is, if i think it's wrong i'll say it's wrong if i don't i won't simple as. I'm not bias like that, you'd probably think i'd choose to cheer on a foreign team over you if you played them in the CL final, wrong
hazard deserves a lengthy ban but for me the ballboy must be punished as well. if he isn't it encourages other ballboys to do similar antics especially if they think they can get a player sent off.
Ballboy's have been told to waste time for as long as I can remember but it's the refs job to add that time on, not the players job to give them a kick, I expect a lengthy ban will be coming his way.
That was extreme though, actually smothering the ball. Hazard did the wrong thing of course and will rightly get a long (hopefully Cantona esq) ban, but a bit like Eric's kick there is no innocent victim.
Of course the kid was being a dick, but its still the refs job to add that time on and then the FA's job to punish the club for it afterwards.
