Well 30% to Malky for transfer funds is more understandable......I thought you meant that he was walking away with the money himself!!!!!

So then (hopefully) the other 55% unaccounted for goes towards clearing our debt?

I've read through the offer document again. No mention of the percentage, although I'll swear that as sure as I am of my own name, a clause stipulating the percentage of fees that can be reinvested in players was in a document sent from WFCL to Watford Leisure.

The finalised clause on player trading is as follows:

(Player purchases): It shall not (and shall ensure that no Group Company will) make any Player
Purchase unless such Player Purchase is financed solely by:
    (aa) a Qualifying Loan; and/or
(bb) a New Shareholder Injection; and/or
(cc) the proceeds of any Player Sales provided that the ratio of (x) the aggregate of all amounts
owing in respect of all Player Purchases to (y) the aggregate proceeds contracted to be
    received in respect of all Player Sales does not exceed 60:40;

(that's on page 60 of 84 of the 25th March offer document)

So what its saying (in a very long-winded manner) is that player purchases cannot exceed 40% of money recieved from player sales, unless alternative funds are available.

Realistically, i think we can expect to get around £4m for Graham, and thats if a bidding war between QPR, Newcastle and whoever else is sparked. No Premiership club will pay over the odds for a player who has never played at that level, and who has had only 1 good season in the Championship (i think we can say with 99.9% certainty that Graham is genuinely a great player, and that this season wasnt a fluke, but other clubs dont know that).

So supposing we get £4m for Graham --> £600k goes to Carlisle --> Malky gets up to 40% of £3.4m --> £1.36m to find a striker, a left-back, and a left winger - no problem for a man who brought Graham to the club for £250k, Cowie for £50k, Buckley for £300k, and Tiny for free...

The main point i wanted to make is that even if Graham doesnt leave this summer, he wont be at Watford forever, so we should cash in on him whilst he's a hot property and has plenty of time to run on his contract. Its just good business - which unfortunately dictates almost every aspect of football these days.

Not quite true Norway, every company has to issue annual accounts and file them at Companies House - you can get a copy for £1. The smallest companies don't have to show very much but even this can be interpreted; bigger companies have to give more information and have to be audited; Watford Leisure's assets and turnover would take them out of the smallest bracket, so we'll still be able to get a fair bit of info. For example Middlesbrough's accounts are pretty revealing of the depth of their trouble - well worth a £1 of anybody's money.

was going to say the same Harrow but it'll probably cost a few £1 to get the accounts as it'll be holding companies. I tried to get the VGS accounts and haven't succeeded even though I purchased a couple of the company reports they seem to have hidden the holding offshore somewhere. If you could point in the right direction would be appreciated.

Guess so - and what do we think the chances are Baz will let him have it - if he spends any money it will be to increase the value of his property

I see that Doncaster have rejected a £2.3m offer for 16-goal Billy Sharp - does this mean we should reject any offers of less than £4m for 27-goal Danny Graham? Obviously Donny are more well-off than us, but surely not by much?

Thank Harrow I am glad that there will have to be a certain amount of transparency , That should make it a little harder for MrB to do anything dangerous to the club!<ok>

Listen - you don't ever find the truth behind small companies - disclosure requirements are different and any accountant worth his salt can hide coaches and horses - and I know how much Norway loves accountants
