To throw another name into the ring, does anyone know how good the Athletic Bilbao Centre Back Fernando Amorebieta is? The Telegraph, via the Mirror, are reporting that we're battling Everton for him. He's 27 years old, has 6 months on his contract, and is rumoured to cost just £400k. Transfermarkt say he can also cover Left Back, and is worth £7m! But disagree with the papers and think he has 18 months on his contract, probably pushing the price up considerably. He's played 11 league games (10 starts) and 4 Europa League starts this season, with over 200 league games under his belt. He might be a bit of a hot head though, he's racked up 92 yellow cards and 13 reds (5 straight reds) in a 260 game career. His current wages are about £26k a week, so I suspect he'd be one of our top earners.
While we're on the subject of off-the-wall signings, here's another. Kei Kamara. Mo's brother, by any chance? http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11709/8429071/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
To give Kei Kamara the tranfermarkt treatment...: 28 years old, plays as a striker or right winger, scored 53 in 215 games over his whole career, a goal every 292 minutes. Valued at £450k. Personally - no thanks.
I've just seen the interest in Kei Kamara reported on the sky sports site - don't know anything about him, he has got wonderful little beard though.
On the subject of Kamara, I wonder if CH & co now feel that the Graham possibility has slipped away to Sunderland and they need another possibility if Hooper isn't available at a price City can afford. Kamara has good height (6'2") and pace and has scored at 1 goal per three games over the past three seasons. His MLS site is here: http://www.mlssoccer.com/players/kei-kamara and his Wiki site is here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kei_Kamara Having begun to give up on any striker coming in, maybe I'm getting desperate, but he might just be that tall, pacey striker that others have been talking about on here.
Also spotted was this about Lambert and 'doomed Villa': http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/4...bert-faces-aston-villa-biggest-challenge.htm? Maybe it could be worse?
Just reported on the NCFC site that we've signed Camp till the end of the season. This to me says either Steer and/or Rudd out on loan or Ruddy isn't going to be for before the end of the season. Or both. http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/camp-set-to-sign-615654.aspx
SSN are saying - sky sauces, Norwich have put a bid in for stoke's Kenwyne Jones, not sure how true it is but thats what they are saying.
Looks like we are going for bargain basement again with regard to Kamara. Hopefully he will not be the only striker we get in. Looks like Hooper has deal has gone down the drain - not surprised.
they've been busy today Cleary we have a long list of potential transfers. Part of me really wants us to sign Craig Mackaill-smith just so he can score goals and provide a much needed slap to a section of our fanbase that has forgotten who they are.
The three options we came up with at work were: 1. Rudd and/or Steer out on loan. Seems the most likely as they're not going to get games, Steer especially, so it makes sense to let the go and get some game time. 2. Ruddy out for the rest of the season. Less likely due to him saying he's ahead of schedule, but that would still only see him return for one, maybe two games. 3. Someone is going to try and nab Ruddy off us. The least likely as he's injured.
The Pink'Un has confirmed the Camp signing for 6 months: http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/lee_camp_signs_for_norwich_city_1_1804687
Holt tweeted this today @Grantholt31: People you all keep asking me to ring up Danny to come cant see it happening but you never no. Swans have to sell him first.
