Surely with Sahin and Cole going, we are signing at least two more players this window.
The money cleared up on the wage bill should be significant, and with BR complaining about lack of depth, one striker is not enough.
Two weeks or so to go, should be interesting (or excruciating if the summer window was anything to go by)

We have three forwards: Sturridge, Suarez and Borini.

I expect more because of Rodgers saying we lacked depth followed by one arriving with two leaving. I suspect only one though <ok>

I meant one forward signed in Jan, but yeah the head says one more coming in, hoping for more.

Obsessed!

Because you're so obsessed with him, are you gonna send him a picture of your turd? <laugh>

Only if Bluff sends one to Pierre <laugh>

Ps...put something for you on the 'Paid for...' thread <ok>

i think there's a possiblity bu i think we are not looking for a first team player honestly. i think rodgers needs to foind some proper new targets for the first team and not "potential"

The way I see it is we got rid of Joe Cole and Sahin - two players who weren't playing games and not important to the first team. We've now brought in Sturridge who is most likely going to be a starter.

Therefore, we've improved the first team but weakened the depth. Both obviously need improving but I want more emphasis on improving the first team.

Southampton are close to signing Norway defender Vegard Forren after the 24-year-old pulled out of a week's trial with Liverpool.

The Molde player had been expected to arrive on Merseyside on Tuesday after Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers invited him for a trial this week.

However, Southampton have now had a £3.5m offer accepted for Forren, who has since travelled to the south coast.

Everton had previously been interested in the defender, only for that to cool.

Liverpool had been reluctant to bid for Forren until they had seen him train with the first-team squad.

Rodgers remains keen on signing a centre-back during the transfer window and is likely to allow Sebastian Coates to go out on loan if he is successful.

Was thinking the same, the lad lacks ambition.

Who are you again?

That's harsh, the lad had the choice between a trial with no guarantees of anything with you lot or a contract at Southampton - hardly a toughie that one is it?
