Morning all - When it comes to us signing new players I try not to get excited. Out of all the names branded about they are nearly all strikers and none better than Becchio or McCormack or even Somma. I am glad Tate has left, Peltier, Lee's and Byram can all cover RB and they can all play in the middle along with Pearce, White and Peltier have been playing at LB so we have options. Wide midfield with pace is what we need, we can all see that just a shame Warnock doesn't see it as a priority.
When it comes to possible Tate replacements we've been linked with Craig Dawson on loan from WBA and someone on WACCOE is saying Kilgallon's signing.
Simon, time was when I would happily have welcomed Kilgallon back. But I recently saw him trying to defend by wrapping his arms around an attacker. When are he, Lees & others going to learn that referees will cotton on to this and award penalties all the time? Despite the fact that he's fairly quick & can certainly cope with the pressure of playing at ER in front of 30k plus screaming Yorkshiremen (what our crowd will be when we start playing some decent stuff & get into promotion play off or better), I'm not sure it as good a move as it could be. Not sure we'd want any CB on loan, as its too short termism.
Considering Warnock said at the start he is against Loan signings we are not doing too bad, Tonge, Thomas, Barkley, Tate, Hall were all taken on loan, I know a couple were with a view to a permanent but it seems not much changes season to season at the moment
No issue with loanees with a view to a permanent deal, just loanees for a month or so to help them get fit but with no passion for the club. The Spurs guy from last year was the classic example. Thomas would have been a good loanee if we'd either been able to buy him in January or have the loan extended until the end of the season.
From having plenty of cash to ensure we are able to compete (Summer statement) after the takeover. Then the collapse of the initial deal and the then the protracted negotiations that took months to complete. We yet again find ourselves without a pot to piss in. I feel for Warnock as he's been shafted twice now, once by Bates and now by GFH, and I reckon he's had enough because the body language of the players isn't good, hence crap performances. So are we about to be shocked by the revelations that in fact we have signed a couple of top players, or are we about to find out that we are only able to bring in a couple of loans. I'm expecting more of the same and the same excuses. Warnock is contracted up to the summer, but maybe he should be let go as he seems to have nothing left in the tank. We should be talking to Lambert's agent and also speaking to Adkins. Either of these 2 to struggle through whats left of the season, and a promise of real funds in the summer to ensure promotion
Lambertr £1m Sharp !.75m LeFondre 350k Hooper 2m yes we could have had all those but it meant spending money not in Bates vocabularyand the say birds of a feather flock to gether so this lot could be just as bad if we sign Blackstock who only seems to score against us I think we will sell Bechio to pay for him plus probably a couple more signings depending on how much we get .Neil will also be trying to sell Pugh and give Rachuba away to make way for more signings I hope we get Chris Taylor 150k Redmond 750k Curtis Davies 500k and Burke 250k from Brum as they will be cheap as chips
**** off u **** Chris Dawson receives an u21 international call up but can't get in the lufc team ahead of micheal brown #WarnockOut
According to Sky Sports, the Bolton Wanderers have just boosted their defense ranks with the signing of Craig Dawson on loan. The central defender will join from West Bromwich Albion for the rest of the Championship season. The signing has been rumored for quite some time but Bolton fans should know that the Trotters had to beat out other suitors Leeds United to get him. Warnocks top target gone then
