I do agree what you are saying Proud ( I think you are the most genuine poster here)

I am sure, even for PR purposes the club could give the fans "something" in return ;)

For those not as often exposed to "Corporate Blah Blah" as perhaps I am, I hope this succinct translation will help clarify the club's position.

"SKY Money - Yippee - what snow?"

    ... that is all ...

They are now back tracking quite a bit but they still havent understood the situation properly

Give money back to ticket holder who couldnt attend and give the STH's something

Offer free fox travel to an away game or at least something. I understand the club arent to be blamed for the situation but its how they have dealt with it afterwards with the fans

I attended the game so im perfectly happy but people who didnt deserve better from the club then what there currently doing. Offer cheap tickets to people isnt rewarding them especially STH's who have already paid for their tickets

I think they understand the situation well enough - what they have done, is offered a pretty desirory soother which is little more than a PR stunt damage limitation 'treat' - for me, anyone taking a valid unused ticket (including season ticket holders) back to the ticket office should be offered a full refund or the option to swap it for a 'gift receipt' of equivalent value which could be spent in the club shop or on Foxes Travel or anything else that the club effectively sells. Unfortunately 'corporate greed' and 'doing the right thing' are, inevitably, intrinsically opposed.

I can understand if they dont want to give the money back but they should then offer a free ticket to the Wolves game or gift vouchers for the shop.

I think that they should have stood firm, they opened the game up, so they delivered the product, they cant be blamed for the weather and gridlock. All officials, players and ground staff made it to the ground, even 300 Middlesborough fans even made it.

Nice of them to offer something back, no way they should have to refund the ticket completely. I do like the idea of store credit though, cause no doubt they could take 25 quid off the shirts and still make double their cost price.

What I think you have to ask yourself Wizard is whether the club would have gone ahead with the game if it had not been on Sky - the cynic in me says no - because they would not have risked the lost revenue from the commercial side in terms of 12,000 not turning up to purchase programmes, refreshments and club shop etc if the TV money wasn't there to cover such loss (and more) .... but then I am a self-confessed cynic ....

I disagree, a chance to go 2nd and on a winning run! That game was always going ahead whether fans or sky weren't there.

Terrible weather coupled with bad traffic lead to poor attendance. It took me 2 hrs to get there and was a nightmare, but I don't blame the club.

... think you are missing my point Cully - I'm with you that the game should have gone ahead from a footballing perspective i.e we are in fine form and should be taking advantage (which thankfully we did) ... but the compensatory 'gesture' is derisory when you look at how much money is floating about in football these days ... and if the club really cared for the fans then they would have offered full refunds (or at least considerably more than is being offered).... I've missed a couple of flights due to bad weather in my time .... wasn't offered a burger and a milkshake in compensation - was put on the next flight at no extra charge - that's how to look after the paying customer ...
