Is Lambert really under pressure? Doing a more than satisfactory job so far for me. Well over half of their starting XI this season are new additions or promoted youth players, so to not be adrift of the relegation pack at this stage of the season is an achievement in itself. Not many managers I can think of who would be doing better than Lambert with that squad to work with.

Pleased for Bradford, but felt sorry for Lambert..he was so down. And they seem to have no money to spend, but must remember Bradford cost £7,000. It may seem strange, but though I felt Adkins was turning stuff round and would have been good for us, I don't think he could be seen as a saviour for a team like Aston Villa. They really need an experienced manager, though I think they will stick with Lambert.

Again I find myself agreeing with you Fran.........Lambert too is a good manager.....I cannot see that Adkins would bring much more than Lambert could offer. Mind you if they have a cortese type director who knows..........lets face it the grass just may be greener as they say........

I honestly think that we just have too many points on the board for relegation this year. Our slump in form has been the result of a combination of injuries to key players at a time when our fixtures are tough. If we get three more wins and three draws from the last fifteen that will be plenty.Relegation this year will be low to mid thirties rather than high. I am saying 36=safe.

I wish I had your confidence........I still think it will be a close thing on the 38. Please, Please though lets not have to save a point on the last day of the season......My old ticker cannot stand the dramatization........

I wonder if Lambert's regretting leaving Norwich. The fans loved him, he was under no pressure and he would have kept Norwich well away from the relegation zone. Villa v Newcastle is a HUGE game for both sides. El Sackico numero dos?

Yes massive game. Just wonder if all these signings will backfire on Pardew. It's going to take time for them to gel.

What should happen: at the mutual agreement of all the parties, Newcastle, Norwich and Aston Villa agree to a three-way swap, with Chris Hughton goes back to Newcastle, Lambert back to Norwich, and Pardew off to Villa. Proven PL managers for everyone!

Sunday, 19th May, 4.00pm. Chin up, chest out, your club needs you. And who are Stoke anyway?

But don't worry, won't happen. We'll be on 44 points by then, I've worked it out.

I said this a few days ago. However, Lambert has to be sacked first and I don't think that will happen.

Being reported that Lambert's job is safe even if Villa are relegated, so I guess Adkins isn't going there.

That's been my call since the start. Though I bet he'd be intrigued by Leeds.

Personally, I'd like to see him anywhere where he won't have the funds or the pulling power to poach any of our players.

Don't worry, Beddy, I am sure they won't dramatize it, whatever happens. With the success of Downton Abbey and Mr. Selfridge, the trend is firmly on the period end of things at the moment. If BBC or ITV were going to dramatize anything, would be our '76 Cup win, or the days leading up to the revelation that Keegan had signed.
