I still won't put Suarez in until either we win a big trophy with him, he puts in some un real performances in CL ( hopefully), or he takes over an important game. I know Torres didn't win anything but he was excellent at every level, prem, CL, FA, etc.
In no particular order Billy Liddell Graeme Souness John Toshack Robbie Fowler Steve Macmanaman Michael Owen Steve Gerrard Igor Biscan Peter Thompson Kenny Plus a host of quality players to support them!
This list is with players who actually won us or won something with us: Steven Gerrard Emlyn Hughes Alan Kennedy Graham sourness Alan Hanson Ian rush Kenny dalglish Michael Owen Terry McDermott John Barnes Surprised nobody picked Kennedy ..2 goals that won 2 European cups. Owen is reluctantly in there but he did win us the FA cup.
1. Dalglish 2. Rush 3. God 4. Gerrard 5. Keegan 6. Souness 7. Barnes 8. Liddell 9. Hansen 10. Terry Mac And as my amp goes up to 11.... 11. Biscan
1. Steven Gerrard 2. Robbie Fowler 3. Michael Owen 4. Fernando Torres 5. Xabi Alonso 6. Rush 7. Macca 8. Riise 9. Garcia 10. Barnes
Why, is their a time limit on it? Billy Liddell was before my time (waaaay before my time) but I still know the enormous impact he had on Liverpool as a club. Its not 100 players who shook the Kop in the last twenty years Realistically the vast majority of players in the last twenty years aren't fit to lace the boots of players from the era before. Anyone with Owen, Torres or Alonso in their top ten needs a trip to my cellar for some..."corrective therapy". Its not a list of favourite players it's a list of the best/most influential ones. Still subjective I accept...but still...no Kenny?
1. Suarez 2. Suarez 3. Suarez 4. Suarez 5. Suarez 6. Suarez 7. Suarez 8. Suarez 9. Suarez 10. Suarez He's the Johnny Rotten of football, the punk putting two-fingers up at the United -controlled establishment, and I love the effect he has on narrow-gutted old maids like Lawton, Samuel and Holt. Good on you luis, because football has become like music in the 70's: dominated by old farts, dinosaurs and a fawning media licking the crusty bits off the established ****shafts. And danny could be our Sid Vicious.
I don't like these lists, I've got to be honest. Because most on here have only seen us in the 90s & 00s it makes the lists heavily biased toward the modern players even though they have 0 league titles for LFC between them all. Th other thing that annoys me is the people chucking players like Barnes, Hansen, Rush etc in behind players like Torres, Owen & McManaman even though the older players were clearly more successful & talented. Do it properly or not at all!
Okay Miss! 1. Lawler 2. Case 3. St John 4. Liddel 5. Dalglish 6. Keegan 7. Barnes 8. Gerrard 9. Souness 10. McDermott 11. Dundee
Sorry for growing up in the 90's and 2000's ffs!!! If it is the other way it is easy: Dalglish, Keegan, Souness, Hansen, Kennedy, Heighway, Barnes, Beardsley, Liddell, St. John, Molby, etc.
