Don't speak to me like an immature child then. I'm dealing with it fine thank you very much - it ain't that bad.
11 hours the diff 10.03am = 9.03pm tad early but the shiraz infused liver that tells me when its beaks under blankets head under wings !
I'll try a grown up discussion again then: When I explained why I felt that the club couldn't "big up" Nigel's achievements having just sacked him, you said that we wouldn't be here if it wasn't for NA. I pointed out we wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for Cortese, so two points: 1. Do you understand my comment about only a small thank you to the manager we have just sacked? If not, what don't you understand? 2. Is my comment about "we wouldn't be here at all..." justified or not, or wrong at all? I'm happy to debate both of above if to can show me something that can make me see it differently.
Of Course I understand the comment, and whilst I understand where your coming from, I just felt he deserved more of a mention for his achievements over the past 2 years. In regards to Cortese, no we wouldn't be here at all without him and of course I am eternally glad, but that doesn't hide the fact I haven't agreed with many of his decisions since he came to the club ... but you can apply that to many different people. Arguably, it's down to Rupert Lowe for putting us here as he ****ed us over into administration By the way, I'd like to apologise FLT if I have got funny or angry with you tonight. I respect you as a poster, I think you have a reasonable and sensible viewpoint usually.
Yes I agree Archers, however bring this back to where I started my comments, Cortese is getting pasted for sacking a popular and good manager. Someone posted he doesn't care about the fans (matter of opinion), but my main point is that even though I didn't like Nigel being sacked, I believe Cortese always does what he thinks is best for the club and if he does somethings the fans don't like, then that's ok by me. What he did back then gives him some free passes in my book.
Do you think that none of us felt the same way? We did, but handled the situation in a mature manner, no good getting emotional if isn't going to help, but if you feel better by getting off your chest carry on.
We are all passionate about our club, no need to aplogise. It's the not agreeing with "many" of his decisions that I don't get. You are not alone as there are a lot of peopelwho think that but infant think of a truly major decision he has got wrong; not what I'd call major one anyway. People moan when he sacks program sellers, or doesn't come out and talk to the fans but so far he seems to have got the big ones spot on. Now, sacking Nigel IS his biggest decision to date and as I said before, I didn't like it but it doesn't mean it's wrong. If we are playing European football in 2 years time, it'll look like the best decision ever. Sometimes fans need to rise above some decisions and remember bosses everywhere take actions that inevitably someone will not like; they still must take those actions though.
Don't stop just because one or two have a pop at you unnecessarily. I only have a pop when you disagree with me
Wouldn't give a **** about popularity I don't, everyone has their own opinion. I'm just bored of the anti Cortese crap when no one knows what happened.
Interesting point about the "fans are the club". I dare say that Pompey fans felt much the same but the reality is that once football became a professional sport and the amounts of money so huge, it's all changed. Don't believe me? Ask the fans of Wimbledon FC!
Wimbledon never had enough fans to maintain a top flight club. They wouldn't have moved to MK if they had a large local following.
I'm not deliberately tring to upset people ... what would be the point of that on an internet forum? It's just my opinion on Cortese that isn't well shared or liked on this forum. In other peoples eyes, yes my opinion is wrong but as far as I'm concerned, it's what I think right now - it's just not a shared or popular view clearly.
