  1. I would imagine RvP would have wanted a substantial amount more than £100k per week too though. Any ideas what he's getting at mancland?

Wilshire is slightly different IMO. Yes, he is a top potential player, possibly even one of Arsenal's better players already, but he is younger and he's just been out injured for eighteen months too. Nor was he nearing the end of his contract so he didn't have the club (which he loves) by the dangly bits (again <doh>).

Its is a bit disconcerting, however he's only just signed a deal so we can name our price or "out price him"

I don't get the feeling for all his thoughts that Suarez would be the type to huff until he gets away. He seems to actually love playing too much!

Maybe I'm reading what I want into all this, but do you think this (particularly with the currents like Gerrard) this is, in fact, people who are sick to death with false dawns, who see a chance to finally build something & know Brendan isn't yet in a position to make demands from the owners. That players with standing like Gerrard & Carra are putting the pressure on for him & finally saying what we've all been saying: youths great, promises of getting the managers choices is great but philosophy turned to dogma will lead to just more failure.

In other words start really putting your money where your mouth is & support your mans plans.

It just feels like everybody around Rodgers is saying what he can't to the owners.

I think its more Gerrard being desperate to win the PL and not wanting go down as the greatest ever player not to win the premier league. I guess there's also the personal glory aspect of it that he'll be the man who captains Liverpool to their first league title in 20+ years if we won it while he was still here.

  4. If anyone is interested, Bradford just equalised to make it 1-1 (4-2 agg). 56 minutes gone <ok>

  6. Hopefully means Villa will go all out for the last half hour since they need two goals (away goals don't count until after extra time)

Also interestingly, Bradford are a 'bigger' club than Swansea. They have 1 FA cup to their name and a bigger stadium. Just in case the sheep shaggers wum.

  10. Bradford just hit the bar!

Villa don't seem to have much fight in them. they are attacking and getting chances but the urgency seems to be missing. they have fifteen minutes to get two goals!

    Embarrassing we lost to them.

  12. I wouldn't say embarrassing. They are a younger team than us with less guidance, they have some good young players and one very good forward in Benteke, if they are all on song they will beat a lot of sides, they just have a lot more off days because of inexperience IMO

  13. What is embarrassing is Villa fans leaving with ten minutes left <doh>

    Fantastic for Bradford though!

Villa might need a new manager soon.

    2-1 Villa!

    Come on Bradford hold on!

  18. Villa scored, 2-1. They have about five minutes to get one for extra time

  19. I actually think it is a good thing for Villa. Obviously, they will want to win every game and getting beat by a League Two side over two legs in a semi-final is as embarrassing as it gets, but look how other teams have performed after winning this competition in recent years. Birmingham didn't win another game and got relegated. We went from challenging for the CL to relegation form! The last thing Villa want is a down turn in form <laugh>

  20. If Villa bag and stays like that for the entirity of extra time. PENALTIES BABY!!!!
