Seems a bit weird with Pardew not been French and all...

They are all class names, I follow French football and they are hand picking the best out of that League one by one, missing out on Remy also..

Was thinking Pardew could shoot himself in the foot though, as it would be tempting for the Chairman to bring in a top French Manager, or a very up and coming Manager like Saint-Étienne's Christophe Galtier

Great to see all these players iv been watching for the last few Seasons coming into Newcastle, many wont of heard of the likes of Mathieu Debuchy and Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, but they are class

I think Arsene Wenger will be aware of these players not to mention old Harry @ DQPR

There is a lot of French talent coming through.

They've had a barren spell since '98 but they're back in the right direction.

Shame the likes of Ribery will be out of his peak soon.

I've always thought Ribery was so overrated. They've had some great talents come through, but they've underachieved. Players like Yoann Gourcuff, Jermey Menez and Hatem Ben Arfa should be at top European clubs. I know they've got some good youngsters coming through, I'd watch out for Rapheal Varane, Mousssa Sissoko and Mamadou Sakho.

Rapheal Varane is the gem of them all, Real Madrid have him

PS TheCasual I am impressed with your Ligue 1 knowledge, rare you speak to anyone in the UK with that knowledge of the French league ;-)

Last season Ribery set up 20 while scoring 12 in 32 matches.

A goal a game, if you like.

I think Ribery's problem is that he hasn't really performed on the biggest of stage (for France or in the Champions League).

I still think he'd walk into any side in the world, though.

I'm abit of a football freak, I'll watch anything.

Hopefully St George's Park will have same affect for England as Clairefontaine did for France.

I love all football and I don't find it surprising that the best French talent is being picked off. Agree with the above poster about Belgium; players like Witsel, the Hazard brothers, Fellaini, Courtois, Gameiro, Lukaku and Mirallas are all top quality.

I cant be the only one that is sure its not Alan Pardew that is picking out all these players. There is something very dodgy going on at newcastle. Pretty sure Pardew is just there as mike ashleys puppet. He has been given a massive contract so he wont complain at ashley bringing in whoever he wants. I went to watch their game against reading on saturday with some of my friends who are reading fans and newcastle were awful. The problem with ashleys plan is that pardew is a bad bad manager and is being found out right now! They are in big trouble this season

Belgium are really good upcoming team. Kevin De Bruyn, Alexi Witsel, Christian Benteke, Jan Vertongan and Mousa Dembele add to the names alright mentioned. Two or three players come through to bulk there squad up and they could easierly get to the Semi's of the next World Cup.
