Edge is now fuming because he has made a complete tit of himself and is probably now PMing Treville to see if he has any ideas how he can get himself out of this train wreck. <laugh>

Dev, you are without doubt the dumbest **** on here.

I said I DON'T KNOW, thats not denying anything.

I then went on to state on a COMPLETEY unrealted topic away from the bomb campaign into why some Scottish football fans dislike Lennon and stated that some people MAY dislike him because hes an RC NI man.

I'm getting sick of you now, do you want to meet up for a square go or what?

Being serious, there are a combination of factors why people hate Lennon.

    1. He's an abrasive character
    2. He's the celtic manager
    3. He's a prominent irish catholic

Some people seem to be saying that 1) is the most (or only) important factor and if he was merely a catholic celtic manager he'd be left in peace (much like MON). It's no justification whatsoever but could be seen as a reasonable assumption until you take into account the fact that plenty of other people have been targeted. Neither Niall McGinn nor Paddy McCourt could be said to be volatile, confrontational characters but they've also been subject to 'bullets in the post'. There's been bombs to McBride and the MSP. There's been bullets sent to Cardinal O'Brien before the Pope's visit. There's been a bomb sent to an Irish cultural/political organisation in recent weeks. To me it's pretty clear - there's an escalation of anti-Irish racism/anti-catholic sectarianism (or whatever you'd wish to call it) in scotland in recent months. It's probably limited to a relatively few people, but that doesn't make it any less real.

Martin O'neill was far more animated than the the Lurganator, he won far more trophies than the Lurganator and was probably just as outspoken as the Lurganator.

Why did he not get death threats? bomb baskets? bullets? etc?

because he was a funny little man who was passionate about his team not fanatical and aggressive like red nose.

he should go and see a phycologist, seriously

MON didn't win far more trophies than Lennon you muppet. Lennon was his captain and so during their time together they won precisely the same number of trophies. Lennon also won trophies under Strachan. <doh>

So because he's, in your opinion, fanatical and aggressive, that's justification for everything that's happened to him?

Lots of people in football are fanatical and aggressive (usually the successful ones) so how does that fit in with your argument Shaun?

ps SAF has just been charged with offensive comments towards a referee having just came off the back of a five match ban for using offensive language about another referee.

Better get a bomb in the post to him eh?

All he's done is expose the bigotry and hatred that is rife in certain parts of Scotland.

again I'll go back to my MON point. how many seasons did he have in charge? 3 or 4?

It's not bigotry. It's hatred of an individual. he could be jewish for all I care, I'd still hate him

So why do 99% of the users of sites like Follow Follow call him taig and/or fenian bastard?

The problem with your argument is that there's so much evidence out there that goes against it.

    Try again.

Don't flatter yourself that you rile me enought to ask you for a "square go" you ****ing tit.

What you said is there in black and white, you said on numerous occasions that you "Don't know" why Lennon was attacked and then said you would be a fool to deny that sectarian motives may be involved?

If you "don't know" how can you then say the exact opposite of not knowing?

Are you just acting the **** to try and anger me?

    It's not working. <ok>

I don't remember Tony Mowbray being called that. However, putting that aside, your argument still doesn't stand up to scrutiny. If you don't think bigotry is behind the hatred of Neil Lennon by many Rangers fans then you're being very naive.

Maybe you don't hate him for that reason. I accept that, albeit I can't understand why you 'hate' a man that lives in a different country and manages in a different league from you eh Shaun :emoticon-0105-wink:

because of the way he acts. He does my ****ing head in.

would you go into glasgow for a drink after an old firm game if you were celtic's assistant coach / former captain?
would you cup your ears to Rangers fans after and old firm game on THEIR pitch after recieving bomb threats from the same group of people (probably) who sent them?

**** him, he's made his bed, now he can lie in in.

Also spitting on a rangers scarf at Ibrox? what's wrong with the man?
