According to the press, Carragher's been making noises that he might quit Liverpool if he doesn't play more often. Anyone else think he'd be a great loan signing until the end of the season? Particularly in light of Nelson's impending departure.
Can't see him moving too far away from Liverpool, big family man and settled in the area. Top player though.
I just cant see it There are some players who are just part of the fabric of a club their entire life, especially if they are born and bred there. I just cannot see him wanting to move anywhere when he can probably move into a coaching role to supplement his non playing time during the season. That aside, over Christmas in Ireland, a lot of the Mrs' family are Liverpool fans and do not want him anywhere near the first team any more as they reckon he has started to become a liability and loses them goals. So purely from that thinking alone I would not want him going further downhill at our expense!! A great servant to his club but no thanks.
I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to another club in the north west but doubt he'd upsticks and come to London. Saying that I've always thought he would be the type of player that would be suited to moving into a coaching role at Liverpool when his playing days are over. Put me down for a no.
He'd fit right in with this crowd then............
If Liverpool needed him and gave him a run of games (rather than the odd one then he'd do brilliantly for them. I can quite imagine him moving because he lives and breaths football but he won't be anywhere near as effective elsewhere because he lives and breaths Liverpool too.
