Ruddy hasn't played the last 6weeks hence our current free fall. The argument of benching De Gea is invalid as Ruddy and De Gea aren't at the same club but at present levels AND form prior to Jrs injury he was the standout PL keeper this season. Just because he plays for Norwich doesn't mean he isn't a top class player mate he is young in footballing gk years.
did you just said, you lost bcz he was not playing? comn is not like he is buffon he was playing too when Fullham put 5 on you and chelsea put 4 and liverpool put 5 on you this season
And he was playing too when you scored 0 against us. Anyway it's hard to debate with children so I'm off. Good luck for the rest of the season
so what !! we played many teams and failed to score and lost .. it doesn't mean their GK are better Good luck for Norwich too
De Geas quality tbh, first few months of last season thought he was going to be an absoulete flop and he was a bit of a laughing stock especially after donut gate but the last year he has excelled and finally replicated his la liga form and shown his true self and is well on his way to becoming one of the best goalkeepers in the world, his shot stoppg is second to none and i've seen him save united so many times and pull of some world class saves, even yesterday the save from dempsey with his legs when he was one on one was quality. I'd say he's currently the 2nd best in the PL after Cech
De Gea is still too weak with crosses and his aerial ability. He still needs a lot of development and did cost Utd 2 points with the poor punch. I would have to agree with Irdan and say Ruddy is better and been in my opinion the most consistent and best keeper so far this season. It is clear to see how much of a loss he has been to Norwich. In a few seasons time it will probably be a different story and De Gea should have improved a lot by then. But to just write Ruddy off beacuse he plays for a smaller team is ridiculous. I would happily have Ruddy in goal ahead of De Gea atm and he is comfortably better than Lindegaard.
so according to you a good GK is the one who let goals as long as he don't do mistakes? !! without Gea we would had lost the game way before that goal without some of amazing saves in spurs game and tbh he is better than when started last season in dealing with those crosses .. and he will definitely be only better every game.. yes that may cost us in the process but that the price you pay when playing any young player so they developed faster
He made some good saves yes but who's to say ruddy wouldn't have made them saves? And he would have dealt with the cross a lot better too. He lets more goals in because he's in a weaker team and faces more shots but he has performed consistently better than De Gea this season, and last, so AT THE MOMENT he is the better keeper. I can just view just view other games, players and teams without red tinted glasses on, something that a few posters on here seem incapable of doing.
tbh 40-50% of goals ruddy let in, could had been saved by Gea .. is not like ruddy is the best GK around and he made mistakes like the joke goal he let in from Everton, not even Gea let in such a stupid goal I had same argument with Arsenal fans last year, as they claimed Szczesny was better GK just bcz he stay in his goal in set-peices and avoid making those mistakes .. and now they admit in their section that many of the goals he let in were savable if it was a decent GK playing ... Gea is the most talented young GKs in PL, it is just a no brainer he should start , and sure he should make great saves and some mistakes in the process, it is part of the learning process and part of the package bcz he is young.
And ruddy would of had you 3 points on Sunday. Saying De Gea would save this or Ruddy would save that is bs and irrelevant as you will never know so saying such an arbitrary percentage as 50 is ridiculous. I've already said De Gea will be a top keeper and has more potential than Ruddy but on form for the last 2 seasons Ruddy is better. Simple and I'm sure even you can understand "honey".
That's just a guess. All of this is guesswork. Both Ruddy and De Gea are good young keepers with bags of potential. This is a non argument that simply can not be definitively proven. Do carry on though.
That's exactly what I'm trying to say..guess work doesn't show anything. I'm just trying to educate shwan that just because players are playing for smaller clubs doesn't mean they can't be top players. Seems to be one of those guys with zero knowledge of clubs outside of the top 4.
if he was able to do some of Gea saves in sunday, i doubt he would had received 4 or 5 goals per game at times when he played for you this season you admit Gea is more talented .. definitely bcz his shot stopping .. !!
not really .. in 95% of times players playing for small clubs and look fantastic buys, end up being big flops when playing at big level .. more when they are +25 years old .. they are playing for a lower club for a reason darling bcz they are not good enough to attract big clubs it is easy to be good GK, when you have your team all sitting back and protecting you by parking the bus.. not the same when team is attacking at higher level , leaving GKs more exposed
from all deals done in past 5 years, show me pls where a big club bought a star (+25 age) from an average side and he end up a great signing people are in average clubs for a reason
