I think as said earlier Albert IS a good championship player, but has a hell of a lot of learning still to do, I think he would be better off staying in the Championship for another year or two ( hopefully with us!), as a prem move would be a little early and could kill his confidence ( as Akinbiyi - who thought he was better than he was!!!).
If both players were the same age then it would be both of them being linked to the big guns. Because Zaha is younger than albert is why he's being linked to the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal. Adomah has done more than zaha this season. Zaha will be a much better player in a few years.
if you're suggesting that albert is better than zaha at the moment why arn't clubs offering stupid money?? He's only 25 after all..
because were Bristol city. We sit bottom of our league, He's out of contract next season. Zaha is 5 years younger and a better prospect. If adomah was 20 years old and doing better than zaha do you think better clubs wouldn't be interested? but no hes 25 plays for one of the ****test teams in the league and we will be reluctant to sell him in the summer and will accept what ever we get. Which will be 2.5-3.5 million
Arsenal and Manure won't give a toss over a player being 25 if they belived that Albert was better than Zaha they would be interested. Yes Albert has more goals and assist but just because you didn't make the final shot or pass does not mean you were not the one to calve out the situation these statistics are rubbish. Albert in my opinion fantastic at going past players but his overall positional part of the game lets him down, you can blame the team all you want but sometimes he just stands 5 yards inside our half waits for the ball passes back to the RB then just waits again bringing players into him. I admire your dedication to defend Albert but Zaha is by far better hence the reason these clubs are interested in him. They won't think that Albett is 5 years older so we won't be interested. Plus if that was the case they would be monitoring the situation but the fact they are not even considering looking at Albert clearly demonstrates he is not even close to Zaha. But as to your thread yes we are missing him
Sorry shiny, I love Albert to bits but I have got to agree with the rest. Its plain for all to see that Albert loves to play football but he is like the terrier in the park with a ball, terrific energy and great dribbling but the major difference is that Zaha is quicker, more direct and most importantly, he has a football brain which is what makes him worth many millions more...
Sell him now for whatever we can get and never sign a player again that disappears back to Africa every January. How insulting to his employer to leave at what is a very bad time for Bristol City and I think that just about sums up his commitment to us. Forget the honour and all that rubbish he should be here and not taking the annual sunny break that only seems to be allowed for the African players. Do I sound upset - yes I am.
Zaha is worth more as he is a British Player. I think (could be wrong) tht premier clubs have to have a certain number of indigenous players in their squads for the Champions League, or something like that. Maybe I am wrong, i just remember reading it somewhere.
Considering palace have said he's there best ever youth prospect to come out the club, even better than ian wright speaks volumes.. All this oh because he's british and a young age is nonsense.. If the player is good enough top clubs will buy him.. RVP was 29 when they spent £25M on the player..
This is what I tried saying earlier clubs will pay what they feel is worth regardless of age, Man Utd and Arsenal will pay 15 million for Zaha and nowhere near that for Albert proves that they feel Zaha is worth a lot more. Did think and still do Man Utd knew RVP will deliver them the Premier League title, so he has proved a bargin to them at £25 million. Shows how silly it has all got a £25 million pound bargin!!!
It's a commonly known fact that British players fetch more money, pound for pound, year for year, skill for skill, than their overseas compatriots. Thats why people look for 'value' from overseas. To call my post 'nonsense' is somewhat harsh. Especially if you re-read what I wrote. It's a shame that reasoned debate has been replaced by trading insults on this board.
I can remember on talksport someone said Ronaldo at a price for £90M was a bargain.. ****in hell you can buy a whole country with that money..
