So the fa cup is on this weekend, but so is the premiership.

Remember when the final was one of the high-lites of the year, everyone used to watch it.

But now it's played while the season is still going on why?

Anybody who is going to a match this saturday is going to miss it,

Why is it not played the weekend after the season is finished.

Even if your not bothered who wins, most people would still watch it,

It's the Football Association Cup, not the **** All cup.

The oldest cup competition in the world, why does everyone not have the right to see it, just like the old days..

Or is it, if your team is not in it, nobody gives a toss.

    I'll be watching it.

Because the FA are idiots and are devaluing the FA Cup.

This is the first final for years that I was looking forward to and I will miss it because I refuse to miss my teams game. Cant go straight to the pub to catch the final because I have a dog to get back for so I reckon I will be home around 4 so will miss all of first half and the bit I enjoy, the build up.

Thank you FA with a sweet in front.

It's a shocking decision by the FA/Premier League to let this happen. Unlike Syd I will be able to go straight to the pub after the game to watch the match but it's not fair on those who can't.
For the record, I will be backing Stoke because of family connections.

I can remember when the Cup Final was virtually the only match on TV during the whole season with the exception of an occasional England game played on a Wednesday afternoon. That's always been the FA, play games and show them on TV when everyone is at work!

Yeah, and the BEST cup competition in the world, too. Nowhere else can you get the shocks, where the little man from the fourth division looks Johnny Big-Time in the eye and zonks the bugger. The FA Cup is the greatest.

    I'll be watching it.

I will be able to watch courtesy of my wife who willcollect me and take me home in the car. I will be supporting Stoke for 2 reasons. 1 they play in red and white, 2 all the ex-Sunderland players in the squad

The actual reason is because UEFA want 2 clear weeks before the champions league final that is being held at Wembley....which unfortunately pushes it back into season time....

From what i ehar it's going to eb the same next year and a 5:15pm kick off

I'm syure I read somewhere that in days gone by (pre-war?) the FA cup final was often held on a full-fixture day. I don't agree with what is happening, just thought I'd point it out.

    Wish we were there!

Yes it is because FIFA have the two week rule before the Champions League final but surely the FA could've put these games as midweek fixtures some time during the season or played them all on Sunday. Still as usual the fans aren't considered.

The strange thing is that if Manchester City hadn't been playing Stoke tomorrow in the cup final they would've been playing them in the league!

Disgrace if you ask me more devaluation of the FA Cup and they wonder why teams are not taking it seriously.
