Oh no. I genuinly think we would never over pay like that. Never. Ever. Ever. Not even if they have a pony tail.
If that's true (pause) then we walk away. Upping the price because we're interested? Fair enough if two clubs bidding otherwise its greedy bastard Italians at there worst; pay feck all when they buy, ask the world for something they don't want. Let them keep the player they're not using, pay another 5 months of his wages & if we can't find better in the summer call again and see if they're still as high & mighty about it.
He's totally different to all of those players, especially Henderson and Allen. He's tricky in tight spaces and has an eye for a little through ball. Like Silva but with a few more tricks. Obviously still quite raw, but it'd be foolish to reject him based purely on where he plays.
Hes staying at Inter to fight for a 1st team place(according to the player himself) http://www1.skysports.com/football/...-says-he-wants-to-fight-for-Inter-Milan-place
Re Tom Ince, I dont like the fact that we are in for a player that was on our books once, but I'd like to have the lad back. He went for first team football, got it at Blackpool and looks a better player for it. IF we do get him, he needs to be played, otherwise he will stagneate again like he did in our youth team. I've seen him play a few times and I have to say I am surprised United are going for Zaha over Ince, Ince is the better player IMO (pretty sure stats would back that up too), and looks better in a worse team. Not the player I idealy would like to see, but he is better than anything we have at the moment, and I have no confidence that the management at the club would be able to sort a deal for a top player in the summer.
They (Blackpool and Inter) can up the price all they like, we should stand firm on our valuations on the likes of Ince and FordCorteniho! Its not as if they'll go straight into the first team anyway, at best, they'll be match day subs to begin with.. We have the likes of Henderson finding some form and confidence, we have Sturridge who's hit the ground running. Borini back from injury also lets not forget the likes of Sterling and Suso for the front three. On top of that, we'll still have the likes of Allen, Shelvey and Downing! Agree with earlier comments, save the money for those players that "WILL" improve us and that "WILL" be first teamers.. we have enough players with "POTENTIAL" in the first team squad already!
Incase last post wasn't clear.. left out Gerrard, Lucas and Suarez because they're pretty much nailed onto start! So one from Borini, Sterling, Shelvey, Suso, Downing to start up top with Suarez and Sturridge.. And one from Shelvey, Henderson, Allen to start with Gerrard and Lucas.
I'm shocked absolutely nobody picked ince. I mean i voted neither... why cos i've no clue on the brazilian. I know ince and think he's done well but do not see how he fits into the current line up except as an expensive reserve. i said neither cos i think we should be looking at replacing sahin and even up the numbers. When we get an good offer for downing then we can think about replacing him with these two....
