10 in 17 for Ipswich he'd be well on course for 20+ over a 46 game season. I'd be delighted with this signing, his movement and the way he drags defenders out of position has always impressed me. He's getting up in years but that'll be the last thing we care about if we get promoted.
Many on here say we need an experienced poacher who has promotion experience... then we pretty much bring in exactly that and people still aren't happy. Looking at DJs record this season alone he seems to fit the bill perfectly for me. Bound to be some good chants in the making here too!
Good signing for this season at least and if we go up then will make up for any loss in his value being an older player. Shame we couldn't get Frazier who is a much better player but at least we know we will get games out of him unlike the other Campbell
If its gonna happen, at least the geezer wants to be part of it here,. Would have been easy for him to take the offer of Palace and Holloway and stay in London. Can't see us paying stupid-a-week wages, whatever it costs he will score goals for us in the system we are playing and if we go more direct.
Don't actually agree with you there Lem. I think DJ is and always has been a better player than Fraizer, and we'll get more game time out of him as well.
I must admit I don't know that much about him... I know who he is and who he played for etc but I've not actually seen him play much... So what do you lot think about signing him? Will he bang them in? fit in ? is he what we need?
163 goals in 382 games is pretty impressive career goal ratio. and 10 in 17 for ipswich this season should mean he still has some fuel left in him.
