I think he is a sound guy. But I really question his judgement, so are you saying we can't do that?

Might as well shut the forum down.

As I said, he can say what he wants. Whether people listen or get offended by it, is up to them.

Last sentence is probably the most sense said in the past few days.

Fair enough. But perhaps Le Tiss statements on Sky affect the fans views on clubs, perhaps that leads to fans in the stands being negative, perhaps that contributes to a poor performance....

Perhaps his support of the Pinnacle bid contributed to the Lieberhh take over. Points we have every right to debate.

Le Tiss had said he didn't even know Falkh before he backed his bid.

You, good sir, are a fool. You say how MLT is entitled to his opinion, and then proceed to swear at and insult anyone who's opinion is different to yours. People are entitled to their opinions, right or wrong, and this is the place to express these opinions.

For what its worth, i'm a massive fan of MLT and would still class him as a legend and feel that he has the right to express his dismay at how the club is wrong. However, after reading his book i do feel that MLT feels this club owes him something more than our eternal gratitude. He done a lot for this club, but its important to remember that he was still picking up a handsome wage every week and wasn't doing it for his love of the club. With regards to the ticket argument, the analogy i like to use is; Could you turn upto Mcdonalds, Apple or a different MNC and start demanding free merchandise for the rest of your life because you were a loyal worker there for ten years. The answer, no.

Legend and a bit of a knob, why cant he be both ???

Matty is my hero but I'm happy that he is also a bit of a knob.
He can say what he likes, he is a pundit now and is paid to say stuff that people will listen to, what he says has no influence at SFC anymore.

He would have left for Spurs (the club he supported as a child) if it wasn't for his then Wife Kathy.
I wonder what MLT thinks of Hoddle (his childhood hero) now, after his England career was stopped on the strength of his hat trick in the 4-1 over the Russian B team..I wonder if MLT thinks Hoddle is a bit of a knob now.

What rubbish. I'll tell you what right I have to spout off on the internet - I've ploughed a lot of my hard earned cash into the club to pay for Matt's wages. That's what. Also spouting off as a "nobody" on the internet doesn't carry the influence or impact of a well regarded face who uses their television platform to continue a one-sided tirade against the club I loves owners.

For what it's worth as well, I have said the same to Matt. So really, the only nonsense being spouted here is your presumption.

Just been slagged off by MLT personally, well on Twitter*. I didn't say anything not on this thread, but his reaction says a lot to me; he's been having a similar argument all evening, and by the looks of it is losing supporters. Shame really.

    *well, an attempted insult, anyway:

Title was a play with words and posted with tongue in cheek but I for one still think Matt is being a knob ,football legend yes but eroding my memories of him as he is in public eye now and his playing days well past him ,so judging him on today's issues ,not the best ever player for saints either ,Channon , Paine ,Shilton for a start and all performed at international level

Mate all my comments were written during the aftermath of Adkins departure when all emotions were running high, and when Cortese was the devil etc. I read it now and I cringe slightly. Of course everyone can say what they like, I just thought labelling him a "bellend" was very disrespectful, considering what he has done for the club, and I still do. And I always will.

However, that said, your choice of comparisons with which to justify your argument are pretty radical to say the least. I can't believe you have compared Le Tissier to a McDonalds worker. This analysis really should be immortalised or something. Bless you.
