Yes, but he was from before the spendthrift days. And he was infamous for apparently being quite fat and always being unfit, and never actually playing a game for us. And I vaguely recall there was someone on the old 606 who was a Mbesuma fanatic or something.

Disappointing for Mayuka to only get 5 minutes when he was the top scorer at last years ACON. A result of no game time for us, doubt he's too happy about it all. Hope he gets more of a chance in Zambia's other games to get some form. If he impresses he has a good chance to get into the match day squad with the new man in charge.

I'm really pissed as he was my scorer in the prediction game!

Same here. Katongo and Mbesuma did pretty well up front to be fair to them, but it was clear to me that the 4-4-2 was a bad choice. I think a 4-3-3 would have been better, with Mayuka and Katongo either side of Mbesuma and an extra man in central midfield. They weren't capable of stringing more than 3 or 4 passes together.

I must admit I wasn't sure if he would play or not due to his lack of football with us. But considering his performances last ACON he should have been given more than 5 minutes!

What do people think for Nigeria v Burkina Faso then?

I'm going for 3-1 to Nigeria.

Come on Burkina Faso! Do it for the residents of the perhaps most awesomely capital city in the world: Ouagadougou

It's a great word to say. Sounds like a dance that you would do along with the conga and the hokey cokey.

Brilliant (Awful) attempted shot on the volley there by a Burkina Faso player. Seen shots go out for throw ins before but this was heading in the complete opposite direction to the goal. SLICE.

Nigeria's squad looks a lot weaker than it used to be. They should still win this game though.
