Valdes ain't that great, the "declining Reina" is better than him imo.

Reina has much better distribution and, lets be honest, he doesn't really have to save many shots!

  3. I think Reina appears declining but is actually a bit stagnated, I think he needs to a new challenge and the only way that will happen is if he moves on <ok>

But i really doubt Barca would want him, they've definitely got much better options. Ter stegen seems to be the name that's thrown often, read recently somewhere that they've been scouting him heavily. I was hoping we could sign him.

Barca don't play with a shot stopper. They want a ball playing keeper. Someone who has excellent distribution and can keep the ball and pass it on safely. That is exactly what Reina is good at. He'd fit in to their team well...unfortunately.

He's going to be turning 31 by summer, i don't think they'll sign just to play him for a couple of seasons. Ter Stegen is comfortable with ball as well and has a very good distribution. Infact he had the best distribution/longpassing accuracy for a GK in the Bundesliga last season(whoscored had an article on that). A massive talent and only 20. I think it would be a pretty easy choice for Barca if it was between Reina and Ter Stegen.

    A couple of seasons?

It is very common for goal keepers not to peak until they are in there 30's. Reina could have 10 years of top level playing left in him.

    true,

been a few who have gone on quite long at top level keeper wise.

Southall,Freidel, Van Der Sar off top of my head, no reason why Reina cant go that long as well.

God knows why, Coutinho is a nobody, barely featuring for inter. To replace Suso, who has been brilliant, idiotic.

  11. I'd like to see Suso go on loan to a premier League side, not sure about joining a relegation threatened side but at least Wigan try to play good football with three up top <ok>

Would Coutinho warrant a first team spot...? And what would happen to Suso when his loan finishes...?

Exactly! Suso has been settling in well, why would we want to replace him with a reject. Coutinho is just unnecessary for us right now. I think Hendo could do a pretty could job till summer. His confidence is high, and i think could go on improving. We really don't need Sneijder or Coutinho. A cover for Lucas would be fine, Diame could be a steal, though i see Arsenal snatching him hp.

Coutinho has been on loan at Espanjol this season, hes more a winger who play 10, Suso a 10 who can play wide, Coutinho has played approx 70/80 games in Italy and Spain

Are set to receive around £2m from a 50% sell-on clause inserted into Emiliano Insua's sale to Sporting Lisbon. He's now Gremio bound.

Sterling was an example of getting thrown in the deep end but being able to handle it. Insua is a good example of getting thrown in way to early and not being able to handle it.

I still think Insua could have come good in time if coached well.

I'm not sure Roy Hodgson would have been the right coach though.

Coutinho would be a good option to have in our squad. Not sure if he's ready to slot straight into the first team but he's another player who could provide speed, creativity and trickery.

I read that Suso would go on loan if Coutinho comes. We bid €8m which is rougly £6.2m but Inter are holding out for either €10m or £10m (Can't remember which).

Put it this way, who would you rather have - Coutinho or Ince?

Re. Insua - I was a big fan of his but as others have pointed out, he was chucked into the first team and was overplayed. During 08/09, he rotated with Aurelio and looked solid every time he played. Then Aurelio was injured and forced Insua to play a majority of the next season.

15.08 GMT: Lyon chairman Jean-Michel Aulas has told tuttomercatoweb.com that Lisandro Lopez and Michel Bastos are attracting interest from England, Italy and Germany.

I would take both players but Bastos could fill a double role for us (LB/LW)
