Always gave his all to the cause we will miss The King of Spain hope you have another club lined up already
Yeah, sad day, will always be remembered as a passionate and loyal player, in this day and age you don't get many players like him. All the best to him anyway
The burning issue that this has thrown up now is: What will Beef use for his avatar picture from this day hence I saw 'el rey d'Easpana' score his last first team goal for the club, at the Scunthorpe cup match Top pro
I was right behind the Scunny goal when he scored that and he celebrated right in front of me and my boys
Goodbye to the good King of Spain We may not see his like again, Loyal to the core Even when ignored And sent with the youth team to train. All the best Simon
I will never forget his corner for Michael Nelsons header on my birthday at the valley a few years back to secure promotion. An absolute legend.
I suppose his chances were thin behind Pilks and Surman, but I'm disappointed if he leaves just to make room for Lee Camp, who is a solid and competent keeper but do we really need 5 of those? Anyway best of luck to Simon and I'll always keep an eye out for his future achievements.
Not a "great player" no, but certainly not a bad one at all - and he's definitely a great guy and superb professional at least so our loss will absolutely be someone else's gain. Hate to see him going but delighted for him if it means he gets a regular game which he surely deserves at this stage of his career. If he goes to a top championship club and plays regularly I see no reason why he couldn't at least put himself somewhere near the frame for a call-up to the Scotland squad as they're hardly overflowing with quality players these days and I've rarely ever seen him have a bad game in all his time for us. Thanks Simon and all the very best mate
There is and will only ever be one 'King of Spain' and that is Ashley Giles But in all seriousness he'll go on and have a decent remainder of his career in the Championship and by the sounds of things will always be welcomed back in Norfolk
Sad news indeed, on a more serious note can we please have a list of volunteers for a "suicide watch" at Beefy's?
Martin's now our longest serving player, remarkably. Best of luck also to the King of Spain, a remarkable professional who never gave up, no matter how he was treated. All the best to him, hope he accomplishes much with the rest of his career.
