1. It's clearly rigged. 2. One small island complaining against the rest of the entire planet isn't going to make any difference whatsoever.
The FA hold a fair amount of sway. They are the FA after all. Their only mistake was to be more honest than everyone else. England were screwed. I have no doubt the English bid would have been right up there. I have no doubt they would have put on a magnificent tournament. Football is a complete joke. Has been for a while.
I'm sure the Russian WC will be fine but Dubai? There was even talk of holding it in Winter as it will be too hot in summer, don't know if that's still being considered. And they were picked because they agreed to dismantle the stadia afterwards and give them to the countries that backed their bid.
FIFA is thoroughly corrupt and needs to be cleaned up ASAP. It's beyond me how such a blatantly dishonest organisation can exist in the modern world.
It's a corrupt organisation, always has been and always will be until member are accountable for their decisions.
The WC went to the countries with the biggest brown envelopes. Did you see the pre-WC doc on the BBC and what FIFA expect from the host country? Exclusive merchandise rights, tax breaks and no minimum wage even in countries which have one, amongst much else. Disgraceful and totally corrupt organisation.
I'll admit to having a quiet chuckle at the fact that the Dutch and Belgians found out about this, and essentially stopped bothering with their bid, and yet still managed to get more votes than England.
