The magic of the FA Cup is still alive in Milton Keynes.

More than 1,000 tickets have been sold for MK Dons’ FA Cup with Budweiser fourth round encounter against QPR, which takes places this Saturday.

The men from MK1, who have reached the fourth round for the first time in their history, are set to be boosted by a large travelling support at Loftus Road this weekend.

The two sides met in the third round of competition last season, although after holding the Premier League side to a draw at stadiummk the Dons eventually bowed out in a replay when Danny Gabidon’s header earned QPR the spoils.

This year the Dons, who have beaten Cambridge City, AFC Wimbledon and Sheffield Wednesday en route to Loftus Road, will be looking for a different outcome.

Tickets are still on sale for the fourth round contest, but with tickets selling fast supporters are advised to snap up their seats early.

    Tickets are priced as follows:

    Adults: £15

    Over-60s: £10

    16-21s: £10

    Under-16s: £5

Under-8s: Free with a full paying adult

Ambulant disabled supporters can purchase tickets for £10 and are entitled to a free carer.

Official Dons Travel is available for this game, priced at £14 for adults and £13 for senior, disabled and under-18 supporters. Members and season ticket holders are entitled to a £1 discount on travel tickets. Coaches will depart stadiummk at 11.45am.

The magic is hardly alive if they've only sold 1000 at that price for a trip to a premiership team with a chance of victory!

I don't care what anyone says, I still love the excitement of the FA cup. Love seeing the underdogs from the lower divisions win with the exception of any team playing us, of course.
As a youngster, even when the leading teams played, they seem special. Walking out onto the hallowed turf of Wembley. Ah, those were the days.
I can still picture the forlorn figure of Malcolm McDonald sitting on the signage banners after the game when Liverpool beat Newcastle back in the mid 70's, along with many others.

Me and the lad are going. Won't be anywhere near a sell out though. 13 - 14k?

No huge surprise really given that their fan base is made up of people most of whom must have started out supporting different teams. When someone becomes and MK Dons fan, do they continue following the team they've supported up to then? Or just drop their original team? Either way, it's a very different form of support from the one we recognise and understand.

Yep.........me and the lad were there. a good 6k of us.
Just had a look on line and the tickets have sold well. Looks like they have been given all the away end though, which doesn't quite fit in with them having only taken 1k. If that's the case, then I suppose, with 2 thirds of that end empty we may be looking at 14-16k.
