Erikson and Isco in the Summer would be better for me, unlikely to happen, but more potential in those 2 than Ince and Coutiniho, but do we think its a risk worth taking or get another player in for now.
I think Coutinho has more potential than Ince so I would go for him - £8m for a highly rated youngster is very good business. He can play on the wing and behind the front man so he will give us good options. I still feel that we will go for Eriksen in the summer as the dedicated number 10.
I opted for Downing Now, part of me was taking the piss because we have yet another poll, but the other part of me is serious because I'd rather see us save the money and get someone of true quality in the summer

Blackpool don't have to sell us anyone, but if "not answering the phone" is what they're actually doing, then that's pretty pathetic and not very professional, simply pickup the phone, say thanks for your offer but we value player at X please don't call back until you match it.. Nothing wrong in playing hardball!
We should get whoever Rodgers wants more. I've seen little of Coutiniho so can't vote for him and Ince has had a decent season but how ready he is it's hard to tell. At least with Ince he should settle back in straight away and the staff already know his good and bad points. If Blacppool are asking stupid money for him however, then we should just walk away and if they can get better money from someone else then we'll get our cut of that anyway. At the moment, if we can't get either for a reasonale price we either look elsewhere or wait until we can use that money for bigger and better things in the summer.
I agree. i just am suprised nobody at all went for ince over coutinho as surely we have a lot more on here thats seen ince's game over coutinho. anyway.... now that the WS stuff is finally over (phew) i think christan erikksen is the best yuong midifled prospect in europe.
BR has stated that if they can a target at the right price business will be done. I believe that to be the case with Coutiniho, we know Rodgers wants a number 10, he fits the 'policy', and he's relatively cheap. I've not seen him play enough to judge his quality, but if we signed him I'll trust their judgement. Personally, don't really see us signing anyone else, so I'm not getting my hopes up for now.
Gary Jacobs from the Times believe that both are targets. Even if we get Coutinho, Rodgers will still want to do a deal for Ince.
If we got both, our squad will be looking much better than it was at the end of the summer. Especially with Kelly and Enrique still both to come back If we get some luck in terms of avoiding injurys, we could certainly be in with a shout for a top four finish. All if's and but's mind you.
I don't know either player's game well enough to make a considered comment BUT! Ince, for me has 2 strikes against his name. Firstly, Blackpool's reported amateurish response to our reported attempts to negotiate. Secondly, Ince's father's big gob which apparently had a major say in him leaving in the first place. IF Erikksen is a target AND we have had some encouragement from his agent then save the money. If not then I'll take your word for it that Couthino is a good prospect.
