Managed to see this again on dvd at the weekend. First saw it a few years back. What a fantastic film it is with wonderful performances by all concerned. Bruno Ganz that plays Hitler is absolutely mesmerising. The part where Dr Goebbles wife poisons the children is gut wrenching. What a bunch of brainwashed vindictive evil people they truly were. Here's a question though. Hitler and Eva Braun's bodies were set ablaze with Gasoline (shades of Bowies Cat People). Now I'm assuming therefore that the only means of identifying them would be through dental records. If not, how could we know for sure that it was actually them? Genuine question as I don't know enough of the background and I never comment on something for definite that I'm not sure about.
Bruno Ganz was also brilliant in The Baader Meinhoff Complex, in which he played a Chief of Police. Think he was also in Inglourious Basterds. He was fantastic as Hitler, though, who escaped at the end of the war and is still living with Eva Braun in a suburb of Brooklyn.
Well it would not surprise me if, not unlike Martin Borman and his other nazi cohorts, they fled to Argentina where there is actually a small village that is entirely of german descent. There was also a theory that the nazis fled to the South Pole and are still there to this day living underground. With the technology they had at the time (whic was far superior to the rest of the world) it would not surprise me. Indeed there is a theory that the Germans were helped by extra terrestials. It's not beyond the realms of bastarding probability.
Nope it was in Nexus I read it. And it is still only £4.25 from leading newsagents and retailers. I, in fact, when in town with my daughter on Sunday, saw that the new one is out so that will be my mission in town after work before retreating to mw swanky penthouse flat in the West End.

Most leading newsagents and retailers stock it SN. It comes in at a very affordable £4.25 and is aimed at those with enquiring minds who do not like to be brainwashed by scientists or god botherers. People that like to keep their minds open and think for themselves basically. Esoterism has always intrigued me.
I love Aliens & Nazis so if there are lots of pictures of greys and SS Stormtroopers i`m sold.. £4.25 you say? Bit pricey.
Good film! As Hitler's world crumbled around him I couldnt help feeling sorry for him, such was the quality of his performance!
