<laugh> From April 2008 to April 2009 I made my company £318K and they payed me £32k (That was before tax and including petrol milage in my own car) I ran the department by myself from November 2008 until June 2009 when I came out here full-time. That's how I get away with so much off my company because I know exactly how much they ****ed me over that year. I went to Africa three times in four months too which made them nearly £100K profit.

There was a job where I saved the client (and company) over half a million quid and I got a £3 bottle of wine as thanks <doh>

We have a system where every saving is recorded and signed off by the client and mine is still the highest one-off saving <ok>

All I done was rearrange a waste management plant layout so we didn't have to excavate a huge bit or build any embankments

    <laugh> Dirty bastards eh.

This place I'm on now is mental. Think I mentioned this before but back in January I told them they had a ****ed bearing in a pump/motor set that's essential for production. Told them to take it out and replace the bearing.

The desk-driving ****s on the beach said I was wrong and spent 17 days with the machine shut down deciding what to do.

Eventually they agreed with me and took it out and fixed it. It was 23 days in total they had it down for at a cost of £750,000 a day!!!! ****ing ****s could have had it done in three days if they'd bothered to listen to me.

<laugh> Money is the opposite of living though. ****s who only care about money are the most boring and arseholish folk you'll meet. I'm no happier now that when I was student or working at BT/Argos/Comet or other ****e jobs. Just find it easier to pay my drug debts and my bills than I used to. The only real difference is that it's me and not some other **** who ends up putting their hand in their pocket at the pub.

Dougie , perhaps you ought to spend more time on thinking about how to get on in life and less time thinking about the art of shadow-pumping <laugh>

We don't really do jobs that small. At the moment I'm working on a few huge projects

AWPR - New road in Aberdeen
FRC - New Forth Road Bridge
Manchester Metro - Underground train in Manchester. Lots of tunneling=expensive
    Niddrie Burn - Realigning a 1.5km burn

All those jobs together and your talking billions <laugh>

The boy beside me is on nightshifts at the forth for the next couple of weeks. I was asked to do it and told them to shove it, so they went to him. He was afraid to say no <laugh>
