Looks Like Sneijder Will Stay at Inter

Dutch state TV just confirmed the deal. They also use Galatasaray's website as source but they wouldn't post this news if they hadn't had inside information.

Ya it is pretty much done.

Seems like if we got that type of player that type of quality we could at least have a say in the battle for fourth. Getting familiar like last year where we were right there but then didn't get a striker in and didn't get cover for Lucas.

 

It's not just that though, we will possibly just end up with Ince. What does that say though, especially after Gerrard's public comments. It's embarrassing tbh. We are moving backwards as a club.

 

I think we'd be better off going for Sissoko (not our former player), bargain at just £3.5m, ideal cover/partner for Lucas and is young too. This would allow us to push Gerrard further forward too

Nothing official had come out to say that we were serious contenders for him though, who's to say that we were seriously interested in him in the first place? And if tumours are true and his wage demands were 340k a week then quite frankly he can **** off!

Shame we wasted the time on putting together a deal! It would have been a great signing but it was unlikely from the start.

A lot of shamming for Sneijder on here but lets face it they can give him more money and CL football.

I just hope we haven't let are other targets slide whilst putting together this deal. Sturridge was a good signing (should have got him in the summer) but think we need 1 or 2 more LB and RW to push on now!

 

Not fussed about LB since Enrique returned to form, maybe a short loan for cover. I think we need a CB so Coates can be loaned out and another forward (note I said forward and not striker)

 

I think the CB can wait till summer, I agree with the forward player though, with experience on the wing.

 

BR doesn't like players that can only play one role so any incoming forward would probably be able to play too.

Question is where FSG ever REALLY interested in Sneijder anyway, or was just the club trying to appease fans by saying they will go for big players
